This cracking male Lapland Bunting was in the coastal paddocks near Leasowe Lighthouse this morning. Found a Firecrest along 'scat alley' but managed to miss the Yellow Browed Warbler #Birding #Merseyside #Wirral

The core of the Rosette Nebula imaged over two nights. 130PDS telescope with ZXO 533MC Pro camera. Stack of 97 two-minute exposures.

Another little #bus ride into #Liverpool city to see the #slavonian grebe at the #Albert Dock,not used a camera in over a year, good to see some birders there amongst the tourists incduing Mr Foy and a sand scupture.

A short bus trip to see the Ring Necked Duck at Taylor Park St Helens,was very close in so got a little video with my phone !

The new person on the next #allotment has cut down the robin's favourite tree, the tree that the LTT flocks use as a safe staging post on the way to my peanut feeder 😭

No snowy pics, these are infrared images. The green of the plants is reflected back as white which makes for snowy scenes. Taken with an old Nikon converted to IR 📷 I’m interested in converting a Nikon DSLR into a UV only - can any1 help? Pics of Croxteth Park & The Palmhouse

My 'Big Year' has come to an end and its been an incredible adventure taking me to some wonderful places around the UK. 337 BOU birds seen and 3 seen in Ireland. Thanks to friends old and new, shared lifts and to all the bird finders. Have a great 2023

@HesitantWeasel @bbcmerseyside @beezoradio I know the LP and remember the shop. Shop sold second hand LP`S and 45`s alot of ex juke box singles which you needed an adapter, small shop but back in the 70`s and 80`s was a good way of getting more music at a low price.

Spent an enjoyable #WinterSolstice morning birding along Within Way and Hale Shore. Year ticks: golden plover, brambling and merlin - the latter flying very close as it hassled the finch flock. Thanks @Brian25239271 for the company and scope use 🌞
