I will say it again, we used GPT5.4 and Opus, and we were able to autonomously find zero-days in the Linux Kernel (in the last 3 weeks) Mythos is probably better at the task of finding potential issues in code, but imo the threshold for "scary" was reached in December or even earlier This is a great hype machine for Anthropic, especially that they plan to do IPO eoy I totally agree - this is not a new capability

I'm extremely unconvinced that Opus wouldn't have found that 27-year-old OpenBSD bug Mythos found if they spent $20k credits on it.

The scaling path: 16GB Mac mini → 35B agent ($0/month) 48GB Mac Pro → 35B at higher quality + speculative decoding 192GB Mac Studio → 397B frontier model 512GB Mac Pro → 1 TRILLION parameter model Same agent code. Zero changes. Just swap the model file. Everything is open source. The agent, the benchmarks, the retro Mac web UI, all of it. 🍎 github.com/walter-grace/m… One ask: I'd love to test this on a Mac Studio or Mac Pro with 192GB+. If you have one collecting dust and want to help push local AI forward, DM me. I'll run a frontier model on it and publish everything. There are 100 million Macs with Apple Silicon in the world. Every one of them is an untapped AI workstation. Time to use them.

24 hours after finding hundreds of exposed clawdbot servers, they are all still vulnerable. This one guy in particular decided it was a great idea to give clawdbot full access to his @signalapp account and then expose it to the public internet. He appears to have no idea and doesn't respond to messages. Patch has been merged to codebase so update your installs folks.

It's time for Microsoft to have another XPSP2 moment. No more AI, no more features. Just fixes. When I was working on Windows XP, Blaster hit. It was a big enough deal that we set aside all feature work. For the next several months, all we did was improve security. We didn't add "security features"; we fixed bugs. Lots of bugs. Until there weren't security bugs to fix anymore. Then we fixed the ones we didn't know about yet. Put more simply, we stopped trying to "add value" to the product through features that PMs thought users would like, and instead we focused on the things that had been important for a long time, but overlooked. Like performance and configurability today. Rather than trying to improve and add value to the system through new AI features -now-, I argue it's time for Microsoft to stabilize, improve, and make the system more performant. And more usable for power users. Just for one release. Just till it doesn't suck.

🇺🇸 LAS VEGAS POLICE LAUNCH TESLA CYBERTRUCK FLEET WITH LIVE DRONE SUPPORT Las Vegas just unveiled a Tesla-powered police fleet built for the future. Sheriff Kevin McMahill says the new Cybertrucks are safer, smarter, and fully equipped for tactical response. Each vehicle connects to a real-time drone operations hub using facial recognition, and gunshot detection. When an alert triggers, drones launch automatically, streaming live intelligence to officers on the move. The result is faster response, greater safety, and a glimpse of what policing in the next decade will look like. Source: @BenSchafferUP

🇺🇸 LAS VEGAS POLICE UNVEIL BULLETPROOF TESLA CYBERTRUCK FLEET The Las Vegas Metro Police are about to look like they rolled straight out of The Mandalorian. They’re getting 10 Tesla Cybertrucks to patrol the Strip, thanks to venture capitalist Ben Horowitz, who donated the futuristic tanks earlier this year. These bad boys were tricked out by UP.FIT, a Tesla shop that basically builds superhero rides. Each one’s got bullet-resistant stainless steel, emergency lights, sirens, beefed-up bumpers, off-road muscles, and fancy tech that lets cops respond faster than your phone opens its browser. Sheriff Kevin McMahill says they’ll “keep cops safe no matter what” and, bonus, they’re apparently great for recruiting because who wouldn’t want to drive a bulletproof Tesla around Vegas? This makes Vegas home to the biggest Cybertruck police fleet in the U.S. Elon Musk would probably be proud. Sources: Teslarati, Fox5 Vegas, 8 News Now, @niccruzpatane, @SawyerMerritt@elonmusk

Perhaps the most ominous satellite presentation we've seen. Cat 5 Melissa within 2 hours of landfall in Jamaica. Winds at 185 mph (tied for 2nd highest on record). Pressure at 892 mb (tied for 3rd lowest). Will be one of strongest Atlantic storms to make landfall ever recorded.

One of the most important things you can do for health and longevity is focus on consistent sleep. I abused my body early on, and especially early on in my career in cybersecurity. I would code till 4-5AM (often fueled by alcohol), get two hours of sleep and rinse and repeat. Sleep has changed my game on all aspects - recovery, energy, repair, and longevity. My biomarkers are better than when I was in my 20s. Get adequate sleep! #wehackhealth
