@jhoo0000 @sailorxmercury Yep, holding that thermometer can cause it to show a few degrees warmer. Set it on top of thermostat and check back on it after a few minutes, it may equal out.

@sailorxmercury thermostat under the vent? put that handheld thermometer on the thermostat for a while, see if it changes or is there a separate sensor for that handheld that might be sitting in the sunlight or something? I'm not a professional anything, just some random guy on the internet

Omg now the humidity issue is fixed but now the thermostat says 67 but it’s SEVENTY FOUR. I don’t care if I have to call them out every single day, EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY WHEN I JUST PAID 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

@RepGuthrie Enjoy the outdoors? In December and January everybody comes straight in from work and lays on the couch and stares at their phone until dinner. Extra hour of light is irrelevant when it’s in the 20s-40s.

Today, the House passed the Sunshine Protection Act to end the biannual time change and keep the nation in Daylight Saving Time permanently. This will provide Americans with an extra hour of daylight in the evenings during the winter to enjoy the outdoors, visit family members, and more.

@RealJMPeterman True but kids are already stuck inside all day at school. They need some daylight time when school is over. We need that hour to cut grass etc after work.

@RealJMPeterman Yeah this is the frustrating part. People who are pushing for permanent daylight savings argue as if it does actually give more daylight, it does not, They associate daylight savings with SUMMER, which summer does lead to more daylight. This false association is frustrating.
