Sometimes the market does you a favor… Last week, TER hit our bull case price target. Then it blew straight past it. Normally, if a stock hits the PT I’ve got for my rosiest expectations 12 months before I expect it to, I thank the investing gods for their fortune and GTFO. But I figured “well, the market is insane right now, just because it’s fairly valued doesn’t mean it can’t be overvalued!”. So, I only sold half. Luckily, today’s lackluster price action shook some sense into me and made me realize I was being a greedy idiot holding into earnings despite the stock having reached where I expected it to go in a best case scenario. Came to my senses and sold the rest before the print. Entered at $89 in July, doubled the position in February at $240, sold half of it at $400 last week and the rest at $380 today. Great trade, time to find the next one 🫡.
