I keep seeing ‘phew, I’m glad the NHS wasn’t overwhelmed and didn’t need the Nightingale hospitals’. The fact is we expanded our intensive care capacity by 2251 at one point. We WERE overwhelmed. We did this with NO extra ICU staff. #Covid19 #ICU #100Kvacancies
