@BroadwalkRCG

Campaign for a better Broadwalk that works for all, not developers. We want a planning system and civic leaders who are democratic, not deferential to power.

Leader of Bristol City Council, Tony Dyer continues to allow lies regarding Send spying. He knew. He is covering up now. This is Bristol and it’s an utter disgrace

lol. The council is ‘not aware of any incidents of council officers’ monitoring of online activity.’ They paid me off though. This is possibly one of the most dishonest answers I’ve ever had. Any they are allowed to continue lying and lying and lying

.@EE how can I contact you with no access to a cellular network?! The new SIM you sent me isn’t working. I can’t contact customer services because I don’t have phone signal, I can’t log into the app without access to my SMS. Can I contact you via email whatsapp or online chat?

Ed is being generous here… Hopkins latest ramblings show that he knows far far less about the new plans than almost anyone else in knowle, he didn’t come to the public meetings so now he’s just making wild assumptions rather than simply asking us for a factual update…
PAUSED Ed Plowden @edplowden.bsky.social PAUSED@EdPlowden

Ex-Cllr Hopkins new newsletter is full of wild inaccuracies re Broadwalk. Fails to mention his shameful uncritical support for previous scheme & claims “objectors will have achieved their aims of…degrading our town centre”.Beyond reason or parody. Time to retire for common good?

@BroadwalkRCG When the planning committee’s unanimous decision to reject the proposal was overturned, evidence pointed to interference by the mayor’s office in conjunction with the developer & the planning committee chair. A high court judge granted a judicial review... tangentbooks.co.uk/shop/pre-order…

Prior Approval of a proposed change of use from a bank & ancillary office space (commercial) to 9 self-contained flats. 286-292 Wells Rd, Knowle pa.bristol.gov.uk/online-applica… Not sure the loss of more commercial space is wise while Broadwalk shopping centre is being redeveloped?

@AudreySuzanne @BroadwalkRCG @Savills @StickyChappers Remembering Renhard's reaction when even Lab Cllrs were against the plans.. wonder what would have come out if there had been a judicial review, & maybe finding out about what actually went on to make Lab Cllrs change their minds, especially with Rees, his cronies & Eddy.

@BristolCouncil - please can you provide a link to your email retention policy? There seems to be one e.g. Information Commissioner's Office: "The Council also explained that there is a general email retention policy of 2 years" ico.org.uk/media/action-w… p9 But is it accessible?

In March, councillors unanimously approved our plans for council housing, which would deliver over 3,000 more council homes in the next 5 years The Green Party's decision to withdraw from two major council housing developments puts the whole plan at risk bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-n…
