@500Indy1911 @champwebdotnet I rewatched that race the other day, got a chuckle that the safer barrier was in place like it was the Indy 500 and therefore he completely missed it when he crashed because it wasn't in place for a crash in that direction. Good old FIA safety checks.

@surfing8601 @champwebdotnet Michelin always had trouble, not Bridgestone, aka Firestone. Plus IndyCar has about 300bhp less than those F1 cars had, so I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue.

@champwebdotnet I agree. The current track layout is ass. F1 had a huge tire problem with this layout tho. I’m sure Indycar and Bridgestone could figure it out

@Youwantosaythis @champwebdotnet No it never will, but I would love to know what Indycar'a global count actually is. Like how many are watching IndyCar Live like myself for example. You never hear those figures.

Tim Cindric is a huge part of why I was able to make the journey from Australia to the IndyCar Series. We’ve had a very close relationship for many years and he’s been a tremendous help to my career. I’m so excited to get to work with him in this capacity in 2026. I’ve wanted to have TC on my stand from the moment I got here. @DLand91 And they limited the teams to 6 pictures per day they could publish. And limited the live TV coverage in Bahrain to 1 hour per day for the first test there. Like they don't want fans anymore. I know they were worried about another 2014 repeat but still.

I think F1 not allowing media to cover the preseason test, and still releasing content from it like its a big shiny event is pretty poor form.

@GPLapsJake I've said it a few times, but it still blows my mind as a non-USA person, that the hardest place to watch USA motorsport is in the USA itself. And yes I get that you need money to produce the races but if people are subscribing to a platform, they shouldn't have ads.

@bmarci7 Interestingly, got a book on pre-war GP racing a while back that had photos of Monza 1936, where they a few chicances added, this was the same Ascari corner (not called that back then), they just went the other way for a chicane that year.

I was always fascinated about how the late 70's Ascari looked, and after a little modification I have a feeling that I have to keep this one :)

This track is getting very close to how the final look is imagined. In the meantime I switched to the pre-87 layout. The 1988 version seemed to be too modern :)
