@DeborahMeaden Posted on a device that would not exist without oil, via a network that requires thousands of diesel generators as back-up power supply. Oh and take a look at what solar panels are made from. Stop this polarised silliness!

I think the encouraging thing is that despite the power of the fossil fuel lobby, people are responding to the oil volatility by buying more EVs, heat pumps and solar… and are not as stupid as the fossil fuel lobby think!!

@TheGriftReport This post states with certainty that the arson attack was a hate crime and antisemitic. The poster therefore must know the perpetrators who must have stated their intentions. Why haven’t they given the Police their evidence? Otherwise, this is wild racial stirring

Good Morning Britain hit with 55 Ofcom complaints after Ed Balls launched into “disgraceful whataboutery” live on air. Just hours after four Jewish Hatzola ambulances were torched in an antisemitic arson attack in Golders Green, Balls grilled campaigner Dov Forman and tried to pivot the entire interview onto whether criticising Sadiq Khan’s mass iftar event was “intolerance and divisiveness”. Viewers erupted: “This isn’t balance, it’s offensive deflection on the morning of a hate crime.” ITV has now been forced to issue a grovelling on-air apology.

@TrisOsborneMP Your first assertion is entirely wrong. You are so focussed on ‘the needy’ that you have missed the needs of the many. With inevitable consequences at the ballot box. Just hope it’s before you have ruined the economy

@BruceHolcombe Most people are realising their aspirations and dreams. No issue with those who strive. Helping out the poorest and pensioners isn’t an either / or to that aspiration. Pensioners work all their lives; and children born in poverty deserve to get themselves out of it.

@TrisOsborneMP Its about taking individual responsibility for my financial circumstances. Something the majority of people of all colours, creeds and financial circumstances strive to do - whether it be mortgage or rent - and your government actively works to trash that dream

@BruceHolcombe Not sure how? And weird you have created an internalised ihierarchy of parental quality here based on whether you have a mortgage. Bizarre statement that clearly shows you’ve got a chip on the shoulder. At some point you might retire and be a recipient of a pension.

@nigelmp There is no need for anyone to ‘shop’ at Waitrose from now on. They can just help themselves and walk out with it.

Walker Smith was sacked for trying to prevent a repeat shoplifter from stealing Easter eggs from a Waitrose Store. Smith had worked there for 17 years. Apparently stopping thieves is against company policy. As a former shopkeeper can I say that policy is insane. No wonder there were more than 500,000 recorded shoplifting offences last year but we all know it’s running into millions of thefts each year. Waitrose should take this have a go hero back pronto- but if not another retailer should snap him up. The CEO of Waitrose needs to review this bonkers stupid policy too- shoplifting is theft and must be stopped otherwise it will further spiral and it’s the ordinary customer who will pay with higher prices. Wake up Waitrose and smell the coffee- before someone nicks it!

More than 65 leading UK scientists have warned against new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea, urging the government instead to prioritise renewable energy as a more cost-effective response to the energy crisis. "As climate scientists, we urge leaders to look to the cheaper solutions we have already, that we know work .. Wind and solar now the lowest-cost sources of electricity." ft.com/content/5059e4…

@piersmorgan I can’t help but think that an additional and significant risk related to his work on Eurovision must have emerged. They have clearly labelled him as the breakfast show dj but not really talked about his role in what has become one of their flagship events.

I don’t understand this Scott Mills scandal. He was investigated by police 10yrs ago over alleged offences 25+ years ago, but no action was taken and case was closed. Now he gets instantly fired over same thing? The BBC needs to explain why, surely?

Across the country people are seeing through Nigel Farage. He would have dragged us into this illegal and unpopular war - all our bills would be going up even further under Reform. Whether it's the North East or London - more and more people are supporting the Green Party.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK

🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage is asked if Reform UK is becoming "a party of the old" as youth support falls to 8% vs 51% for the Green Party "Polanski is tapping into a university student, half-indoctrinated youth who find Marxism very appealing"

Billionaires say they can't afford to live in a Britain with a wealth tax. NHS workers, school teachers and retail and hospitality staff can't afford to live in a Britain without one.

@markofagenius The two are not linked in any way, particularly as you have couched the second so specifically as directly attacking Iran. But as a self-proclaimed genius, you’d know that already so I’m not sure what game you are playing here?

There are multiple testimonies like this about Starmer. And yet the polls tell us that he's the worst PM of all time. Worse than twice-sacked-for-lying (including as PM) Boris Johnson, worse than one woman mortgage wrecking ball Liz Truss. The herd think as they're told to think.
Carolyn Eley@CarolynEley2

@Cpass12David My husband knew Starmer. He said he was the best CPS director ever. Hard working and innovative. À third of his work was pro bono helping tortured prisoners via Amnesty International.

@SoggyMoggy50 How many time does it have to be explained to you that conpanies are not producing oil and gas because of the punitive tax regime and refusal of this government to issue any new licenses? They would be producing massively more and thereby helping reduce the market price otherwise

How many times does it need to be explained to BBC “journalists” that *WE* don’t own the produce of the North Sea fields? When will they understand that Thatcher gave it to private companies who trade it on international markets? What is the point of a BBC “journalist”? #r4today
