It's as a big a challenge Essendon has faced in years this week against the Bulldogs.
How can the Dons step up this week? Find out from @JonathanJWalsh and myself in our #DonTheStat Round 4 preview

@ScooterMcNeice And his argument has only been rebutted, oh, 150 times?
English

Was wondering if someone would debate this topic. Surprised no one has brought this up yet 🙄😒.

@FootyLock6 Free agency has hairs on it when Tom Lynch can easily get to a premiership team. A free agent from a bottom 4 side can happen, but 130 % of his salary goes into the salary cap. If a free agent from a top 4 side wants to go to a bottom 4 side then 80% of his salary etc
English

@FlightPlanPod Utter hypocrisy. And overseen by Swann no less, whose club was, along with Suns, the biggest beneficiary of current rules.
English

The audacity of Eddie McGuire here is staggering.
No team has come even remotely close to Collingwood in terms of quality recruits via F/S.
If the Pies had great prospects like Walker or Bewick, there's no chance he'd mention anything like this

"We all love the romance of the father-son, but why don't we just go back to an uncompromised draft?" Eddie McGuire reacts to the changes coming to the draft bidding system. #9FootyClassified | Watch on 9 & 9Now 🖥️

@FlightPlanPod I really liked Jasper's view. Pragmatic approach with interesting thoughts on way forward.
English

Would you believe we had no discussion about this prior?
Jasper is one of the best Essendon fans in terms of his thinking process and ability to articulate complex dynamics in a digestible fashion.
We're lucky as Dons supporters he shares his thoughts weekly 🙏

@FlightPlanPod I liked the possible coaching options you guys put forward.

@SilentGhost263 He's our most precious asset and should be treated accordingly
English

@BruceHursty it'll probably depend if he keeps up this form, he'll be hard to deny but having a base under him is most important.

@Cpcc15 Played 1 game ? He ain’t coming in. I’d bring Jones in, play Langford FF
English

@BomberRicko @FootyonNine While you’d expect more from some on this list, the Covid draft was chook lotto, and there’s no picks in the top 3, where the real gold lies.
If anything a year in which we finish bottom & have a bid matched for Walker thus giving us a free end of 1st round pick is what we need.
English

Why wouldn’t you include arguably our best draft pick just two years ago in Isaac Kako? @FootyonNine
He was also a first-rounder (pick 13).

English

@SilentGhost263 Lloyd's pot shots wearing thin. Anyone with a set of eyes can see where our list is at: young and inexperienced, with B grade senior players, other than Merrett. Norm Smith, Ron Barassi or Kevin Sheedy could not change that.
English

hate medias constant use of 3 second clips & not the whole quote but this is ANOTHER player saying *full chested* the issue is players, not system.
also ivory tower much Lloydy, throwing stones from your media gig instead of going to the source as our clubs greatest forward.

Essendon is staring at a record-equalling 17-straight losses. Midfielder Jye Caldwell says the club isn't rebuilding, & their issues are a quick fix, but a Bomber great disagrees | @essendonfc @AFL #AFL
English

@DonCaldwelll If he has lost support of the players then they are good liars when interviewed
English

@ScooterMcNeice @Kyptastic1 @JonathanJWalsh interesting stat but red time goals have been the bane of our existence for years. How is that stat looking?
English

@BruceHursty @DavidPocock If it's such a no brainer, why has it not been happening for decades?

Community pressure is working - we need to keep this up.
Labor is realising that Australians want and deserve a fair return for the sale of our gas to other countries.
This can help fund much needed cost-of-living measures.
War profits of multinational gas companies are skyrocketing - now is the time for a 25% tax on gas exports. This is urgent.
