To give you an idea how bad this drought has been for South Florida, this is the Hilton Pond at Fakahatchee Strand. This pond is usually filled to the brim with water and tons of gators reside here.

I watched this dumb ass action flick as much as any other back in the day, and wore out both the VHS and DVD copies of it that I had. It's easily one of the best of the era, of course - before we learned how much of a douchebag Seagal is. Meanwhile, this flick doesn't make me want an MP5 or Government Model 1911 any less, however. Watching the film now for the first time in a few years, and the nostalgia is brutally enjoyable. It's also interesting how this flick somehow avoided much of the gay ass 90s music score trends. Maybe that's one reason it feels a tad superior. Def hits more like a Die Hard or Lethal Weapon movie than so many of the others that seem so dated upin rewatch.

Friendly reminder, not only do the Active Shorts feature SKROTEKOOL™ and SAMS™ (Swamp-Ass Mitigation System) stretch panels that breathe in all the right places, the cargo pockets have elastic bands inside that hold an AR mag (or your phone) nicely so they're not flopping around. The reinforced slits above the cargo pockets are also a great place to clip your EDC knife or hold a Glock mag in a pinch.

@Rebels_Raiders I just tried my first battle belt, minutes ago. Exumbris 1.75". Having no ass is an issue. Micro-adjustability is required for me. No matter how I get it.

In my opinion, the COBRA buckle is probably one of the most overbuilt things when it comes to standard shooter belts. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to use them, I probably will. But I’m thinking about bucking this trend entirely. They are insanely expensive. The battle belts the Marine Corps issues just have a thick ass plastic buckle and do just fine. What do you think? A necessary item, or is my overbuilt by default assessment correct?
