Amazing Greek temples better than Greece . Palermo is ok . Eat eggplant , aranchini , cannoli. Fruit is great!

@theepicmap I'm going there in September. Any Sicilians here who can give me some recommendations on what and where to visit?

Some of the best memories in Italian culture were never planned. Sitting around a table, loud conversations, card games, food, music, and being surrounded by people that just get it. That feeling is slowly disappearing, and we wanted to bring it back for one night.
On June 7th we’re hosting our Scopa Tournament fundraiser 🇮🇹 Whether you play Scopa or not, come enjoy the music, food, drinks, and a night with the Italian community. All proceeds are going toward restoring the statue of a saint in our hometown back in Italy.

Anyone who's flown to Europe or Asia from USA (or vice versa) knows that when you watch the in-flight tracker screen, it shows you're making a giant rainbow-arc shape over Greenland/Alaska.
You've probably wondered: "That's weird, why don't they just fly in a straight line? Wouldn't that be the easiest, most fuel-efficient way to get from point A to point B?"
Don't worry - you are not crazy!
Here's what's actually going on with these nonsensical flight paths, explained by Terry Eicher 👇

@raphousetv7 Indiana ?!? She sounds southern . That lip smacking is the real story wtf!?

@end3of6days9 @gotrice2024 Nearly the same thing with my mom & jet blue . They said if she didn’t pay the “fee “ they would cancel her flight . They ran her card and the card company flagged it and rejected it . They asked her for another card . She didn’t have another. They canceled her flight

She says she just got scammed by Google — and she’s sharing every detail so it doesn’t happen to you. This woman needed to change her American Airlines flight, so she Googled the phone number like most of us would.
The very first sponsored result looked completely legit (same aa URL and everything). She called, spoke to an “agent” who handled her booking normally, gave her credit card info for a “flight change fee,” and then the confirmation email arrived… from MyTripsTime instead of American Airlines. That’s when she realized it was a scam. She froze her card immediately and is hoping she’s in the clear, but she’s still shaken.
But the real question is… why would Google sponsor a company that’s running a full-on scam?
Sometimes the most dangerous traps are the ones that look exactly like the real thing — especially when you’re in a rush. Always go straight to the official website yourself and call the number listed there.
Have you ever been burned by (or almost fallen for) a Google-sponsored scam, or any scam?

@MikeAZ4ever @HistorianUSA1 Workers know this …
“Right to work state “ simply means one does not have to be in a union to be able to hold a job in a unionized work place in said state. You confuse right to work with “at will” employment which is what nearly all of the states are .

Top BMW tech fired after just 3 months for ‘overquoting’ a repair?
This guy was working 6 days a week and pulling 140 billable hours per pay period.
Customer brings in a hybrid making noise on deceleration. He finds a completely blown differential and quotes the replacement plus rear axles as a precaution — standard practice to protect the shop and customer from future issues and liability.
Warranty covered the diff but not the $5k axles. Foreman handled the upset customer, repair was done, no immediate problems. Weeks later the customer complains the axles weren’t replaced… and the tech gets fired for overquoting.
He says another technician was fired for the exact opposite — not quoting enough when a car came back broken.
There are always two sides to every story, but if this is accurate, this hard-working mechanic is getting a raw deal.

@ItsMrsWilkes @VladTheInflator The idea to pull a firearm in this situation is insane . That guy with the gun should be put in jail and his firearm taken away . No human life was in danger .
