I am devastated Ben was my friend. He would pop in to see me in the office whenever visiting his mom in recent years. What he means to Birmingham knows no bounds. We loved him and he loved us.

The Queen Consort will wear the crown made for Queen Mary at the 1911 Coronation at this year’s Coronation, Buckingham Palace says. It’s the first time a Queen Consort’s crown has been re-used since Queen Caroline, consort of George II, wore Mary of Modena’s crown in the 1700s.

I hope Queen Camilla doesn’t back down on wearing the Queen consort crown with that chonking great Indian diamond in it. Maybe replace the diamond with lab made (from Britain) and relinquish the original for its ownership to be determined by the international court in The Hague
