Unfortunately I feel if we fall out tonight that’s a wrap on the season. #CBJ

@F1RETHECANNON This is the biggest 180 I have ever seen in sport. They’re done.
English

@F1RETHECANNON There should be a story about what happened to this team. It’s insane. Only lose two games in regulation over a 25 game stretch, and then since they look like the worst team in hockey.
English

@lifeofthebob It depends on what else you have elsewhere. Your tax bracket right now and what you expect it to be when you are 60+. But is it “bad”? No. You’ll likely be in a good place in retirement doing that.
English

@BaseballDudes48 Originally that’s what they wanted. All or nothing.
English

Another ABS prediction:
The umpires, and their union, are going to take a stand at some point. Who knows, it might be them who pushes for ABS to take over all pitch calls.
Imagine at your place of work, making a mistake you’ve been trained to do correctly, it being called out publicly in front of your peers, in front of 20-40k+ spectators, who knows how may folks watching on TV, AND that mistake(s) on replay on social media hundreds or thousands of times!! 😂😂
Something is going to happen. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
English

@CSURamT So you are complaining about a free 0% interest loan from the US government?
English

The irony of the comments below, is that my entire point of the post is that taxes in the US are so complicated that you can take 0 withholdings, have many deductions, and still have to withhold more for your check to cover how much you owe. It doesn't need to be this way.
THE Ram U@CSURamT
Did my taxes this weekend. Nothing like being middle class w/ 2 dependents, own a home, max out 401K, HSA & FSA contributions, and don't claim any deductions in my paycheck, but still owe $6K... The new Trump tax plan seems to cost me more every year.
English

@2osfans @DanClarkSports That’s fair. But the temperature has nothing to do with it. Moreso the shit baseball team.
English

@BuckeyeFBL @DanClarkSports Okay, like I said until the Orioles put a CONSISTENT winning product on the field yearly.
Low attendence will be the case, especially on weekdays in March and April.
Nobody goes to the park to watch the big scoreboard. They go to watch their team compete and hopefully win.
English

@DanStrikeZone @DanClarkSports Monday night baseball has existed for years.
English

@BuckeyeFBL @DanClarkSports And I thought the Reds game was entertaining. Still a Monday night though and I still don’t think 14k is a poor attendance for a mid to small market team.
English

@YankeesGoose @DanClarkSports So it has nothing to do with March then. Game was over by 9:30 anyway.
English

@YankeesGoose @DanClarkSports It was 70 last night in Baltimore.
English

@2osfans @DanClarkSports Cool temps? Game time temps for all these games were 70+
English

@DanClarkSports A Monday night in March with cool temps. It's the same every year.
- But the bottom line is nobody gives a hoot about the bigger scoreboard or high end clubs. They want to see a consistent winner.
English

@DanStrikeZone @DanClarkSports Cold Monday night? Temps at first pitch:
Marlins v White Sox 72 roof closed
Orioles v Rangers 70
Reds v Pirates 74
It was one of the nicest nights for baseball you will get.
English

@DanClarkSports I don’t know if almost 14k for a cold Monday night is that poor. It’s OK I guess. Having said that I would go watch Chase Burns pitch on a cold Monday night.
English

@lostinacanyon @nut_history Balls aren’t silent. The umpire says ball.
English

@nut_history The .1 inch overrules are weird. Also I get why dudes can’t rely on dugout but having to challenge a silent ball call in a split second and ump being able to deny “late” challenge is also a problem
English

Now that we got to experience for several games - what are your general thoughts on the ABS system thus far in #MLB
English

@sworland11 @nut_history What about hit by pitch, foul tips, catcher interference, batter interference, batter out of the batter’s box, balks, batter asking for timeout…
English

@nut_history It's working well and should lead to removing the homeplate umpire entirely except for plays at the plate. If you want to keep the aesthetics, then let the ABS call the balls/strikes and have the ump be relayed the call live so they can do the performative actions as needed.
English

@UndraftabIe @nut_history Sweet. In your scenario I’m going to always challenge when I’m on defense.
English

@nut_history Should be full time ABS. Would speed up the game and eliminate judgement calls from the umpire.
Any chance to eliminate human error in a decision making position I’m 100% all for it!
Unlimited challenges for managers too.
If you’re wrong it’s an automatic out
English

@SCHDaccumulator @jypfoto You can access an IRA before 59.5 without penalty if you do it the right way.
English

@jypfoto That’s fair.
I want access to the income sooner than 60 though
English

@TheSkippersView ABS needs to be 3D, like the real strike zone. Some of these umpires were graded on a 3D system and pitches that were strikes at the front edge of the plate are now balls because of how much movement breaking pitches have.
English

@skeletonwizar @JessePeltan 38,000 for a nice new car. That’s not terrible at all.
English

@JessePeltan 530 a month for 5 years. 😂😂 This is not affordable at all. It's terrible.
English

I don’t think people realize how affordable Teslas have gotten.
A new Model Y is $530/month. (72 months)

Troy@troy_berglund
@JessePeltan @elonmusk Remember when oil megacorps price gouged people to wishing they had a Tesla? The problem is that people who cant afford $5 gas cant afford an $1000+ a month payment for 84 months🤷♂️
English

@CSURamT It’s not about how much you get back. It’s about what rate you paid. Look at your income and payment last year and compare to your income and payment this year. What is the comparison?
