@TheMythicalSam @TiWindisch They they shouldn't be so obvious with breaking the rules. This is most obvious case in recent memory. This is the bucks fault no one else's, don't promise future deals and you won't get punished.

@BucktoBasics @TiWindisch No one is playing within the rules tho, the Bucks get caught all the time for stuff other teams are doing. Klutch ultimately has to much power, and that's a bridge the Bucks can't afford to burn. Come back to this at trade deadline when this "insane" contract is easily flipped.

I am genuinely asking (and have no idea the convos actually held): is it cap circumvention for the Bucks to tell Gary Trent Jr: "Hey we don't have any mechanism to pay you a big deal now but if you play here two years we will be able to because we'll have your Early Bird rights."

I imagine a deal will be made to make more sense of the roster also. If KPJ and Green are traded for a wing, there's room for Trent.

@TheMythicalSam @TiWindisch They won't necessarily void the contract, they could just penalize the bucks. And it is not a gray area. You cannot negotiate future contracts, sure it happens probably more than we know about but doesn't mean you can't punish it when it's obvious.
