Leifโ€™s hands were tightly bound behind his back as Azzagh was drawing a buck knife from his ankle sheath to kill the imposter. Even still, the jungle chieftain knew that due process was in order. They dismissed Hengil using the Aionak and summoned Gal Makotfeng to vote on behalf of the Green Order. After Chance interrogated the assassin and confirmed his noble, albeit misguided, intentions, they prepared to vote on Leifโ€™s fate. Bond, Tucker, Chance, Gal and Azzagh all cast hidden votes with burnt and uncharred cave reeds. The first two were white as snow, the second two, black as soot, and the final, deciding vote was immaculate: the rogue would live. The group carried on and stealthily dispatched bugbear sentries throughout the foothills beyond the cave system. They decided to hug the mountain trails and venture eastward at their steep elevation undetected. It was a gruelling four day hike to Camarath, where they could purchase steeds and supplies. The first day unfolded uneventfully, but midway through their second day of travel, they were attacked by a mountain Remorhaz. The beast felled Chance with a single snap of its mandibles and set upon attacking the others. Next it seized Tucker, downing him mercilessly then lifting him to swallow. Though they ultimately killed it, Tucker had been coated in uric acid by the time they gutted the beast and his body was in too much disrepair from the chemical burns to persevere. Two and a half days from a settlement, low on supplies and down a party member, the group now struggles to survive in the unforgiving Sepulchre foothills.

Imagine Magazine, issue 13, 1984, features cover art by the legendary Terry Oakes, a tribute to HP Lovecraft, and some reprinted articles from Dragon Magazine, issue 80. Thereโ€™s also an interesting announcement that TSR' planned to revise Advanced Dungeons & Dragons "perhaps as late as 1987,โ€ involving a new, expanded PHB with new classes "like the savant and jester that will appear in Dragon and Imagine." Alas this never saw the light of day.

@BugbearBrothers Not just that, which power creep in 1st ed is bad enough, but you have to navigate through the Abyss which either turns into a speed run or you will take months of game time just getting to Orcus. How many demon princes will they have to fight? Encounters with 100 demons.. crazy

H4, The Throne of Bloodstone, 1988, by Michael Dobson and Douglas Niles, with cover art by Keith Parkinson, and interior art by Graham Nolan. Part 4 of 4 in the Bloodstone saga, this monster weighs in at a hefty 96 pages, and comes with a foldout map. The module is intended for characters level 18 - 100, which is the highest level specified for any D&D adventure. Included are two sets of pre-generated characters; the first set is the same seven characters that have run through the Bloodstone Saga, most of which are now 19th level. The second set are based on great characters of mythology and all have at least one class at 100th level. These characters, who are much more powerful than the versions appearing in the Legends & Lore manual are Perseus, Circe, Hermes and Artemis.

The Dungeons and Dragons Power Cycle from Coleco, 1984. Of course it includes Larry Elmoreโ€™s classic art that appeared on every other D&D lifestyle product from the 80โ€™s, as well as a three-position adjustable seat with dragon wing back, a direct drive front wheel, wide track rear wheels, and even made a clicking noise when peddled!
