I’m as conservative as they come. Honest review of SC events. I am staying in DC Penn Quarter this summer and it is disappointing how this has been happening. The mall feels like a cage and the state fair missed its opportunity. There are no real food vendors, other than the $20 hamburger you have to stand in line for. The “rodeo” was nice as a kinda introduction to some skinny ass calves and a little trick riding, but to much talking. The National Guard security and TSA security is retarded and incapable of evaluating an actual threat, therefore nothing is allowed. The reflecting pond is a lot to do about nothing. The pool was horrible to begin with, lots of scum, algae, moss or whatever that is created from bird/duck/goose poop and people K’s trash. Now it holds water better, is probably hotter due to color but no real worse than before. It does suck cause now the entire mall, Washington monument area and reflecting pool are fenced off for 4th of July fireworks. Which by the way are scheduled for 1100 pm. For the last 249 years the fireworks have been around 900 pm everywhere for every celebration except maybe New Years or private events. There are no kids that will be able to enjoy that late start. I shot fireworks professionally for years and was excited to see this up close again, but am seriously thinking about not going cause of the sucky time. Not to mention the 100 predicted heat, combined with the security again not allowing anything into the veiwing area. I went to the opening of the state fair with Pres. Trump, that was good, fair number of people, but again the time and security were ridiculous, which I understand because of the libtards trying to create chaos. Now, move to UFC, I went to eclipse, lots of security, normal people who behaved and had a good time, a few knuckleheads, but normal. A real disappointment that the WhiteHouse and Lafayette Square are all fenced off for these events and repairs. If you’re a tourist coming to see the Nations Capital, don’t do it this summer. Guess what, as soon as this week is over it all moves to other end of mall by Capital for the Indy race, which I am going to attend, but still disappointed in everything walled off and the damn streets blocked for cars all the time. All in all DC has been a disappointment this summer.

I've heard from enough Republicans that the crowds really are as empty as the photos. Here's my take: 1. Highjacking America 250 in favor of "our own" Freedom 250 celebration killed the bipartisanship 2. The inaugural-style security restrictions (large bags, tripods, bug spray etc) turned away crowds 3. Having the National Mall walled off is mind-bogglingly disinviting The Folklife Festival is one of the largest annual events on the Mall. See how the crowds have free movement That ability matters. Why can't we blame the rain for this past weekend's poor showing? Because there were more people a few blocks away attending the annual Barbecue Battle. Does anyone have Freedom250 footage that looked as lively as DMV Eats' video here? Trump has produced phenomenal events. This one was poorly planned and he should air out the team behind it.
