If you are looking to build a powerful new habit in 2026, make it READING. Reading is your mental gym. It sharpens focus, expands empathy, reduces stress, sparks curiosity, and even improves sleep when you swap screens for pages before bed. Pick anything that excites you.

People have gotten way too relaxed about drinking and driving. You. Are. Going. To. Kill. Someone. Just because you are fine with playing loose with your own life doesnt mean you get to do that with the lives of others.

Imagine sleeping at the club because you thought your car broke down, only to realise in the morning that you were inserting the key into the wrong hole….stop drinking and driving 😂😭

I think my biggest takeaway from this year is that God listens. He pays attention. He may not give you an answer in 6 hours or 6 months, but when he does, he answers all the parts. He may be quiet sometimes but he’s only bidding His time. He’s never ignoring you.

In the coming year, try reading your Bible slowly. Don’t worry about finishing it all in twelve months. Instead, hunt for treasure within the text, sit with the verses. Meditate. Communion not completion, depth over distance. As you open the bible let it open up to you too.

Let this be the year in which you rebuild your attention span. Big Tech wants you unable to focus on anything for longer than a few seconds. Resist the infinite scroll. Avoid short-form videos. Watch movies without being on your phone. Read voraciously and often.

Homosexuality and transgenderism are sins, but that does not mean we should avoid or hate homosexuals and trans people. Jesus ate with tax collectors and prostitutes. How else can we reach the lost with love, truth, and the gospel?

An American mother complains about the LGBT madness in the country: "Why do they ask my two-year-old daughter at the pediatrician's office what gender she has and what pronouns she prefers? She doesn't even know the alphabet yet."

Voddie Baucham: "All the gospel requires is repentance and faith. That's it. Nothing else. Some of you are going, 'Well, what about obedience?' That's not what the gospel requires, it's what the gospel produces."

Empathy is worked out like a muscle when you read fiction, because all those characters’ internal monologues teach you how other people think. You don’t get that level of information with other media formats. The decline in readership is part of why we’re in an empathy shortage.

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than he?” — 1 Corinthians 10:21-22 Repent.

In an Igbo family you are either Christian or a traditionalist. Me, I’m both. I call upon my Ndịichie/Ụmụada, and I also call on Jesus.
