Bakich has long been one of the more vocal supporters of pushing the season back. As he noted, it’s not just a weather thing, it’s also a revenue thing. No one should be playing in February and I’d argue the first half of March. And it’s not just the northern teams clamoring for this.

Yes, Even 16 is too big, IMO. 3 years ago I wanted 12 best, no AQ stuff. In this NIL era, I'd rather let conference games depend on who makes it and have a national tournament, but it doesn't seem like that will ever happen in this current envrionment.
