TYRMAND COURT UPDATE: Miami Judge Mato has officially DENIED FOUR discovery requests that Matthew Tyrmand’s lawyer attempted to bring for potential discovery. The four requests included “Names of donors & donations from marketing emails,” & “James’ Project Veritas deposition of the 2023 SDNY case.” At the hearing in Miami, FL this morning Judge Mato appeared annoyed at Tyrmand’s lawyer: “I understand there is a history between these two men, but this is a wild goose chase [Mr. Maroni].” “I don’t think we need to get into a case that has been dismissed, we don’t need to go down the rabbit hole [Mr. Maroni].” “I am going to deny 19, 18, 17, & 16 [Tyrmand’s requested discovery sections].” The judge also completely disagreed with Tyrmand’s lawyer on including donations from O’Keefe supporters: “Don’t people make money on social media every day?” “I disagree with you Mr Maroni that Mr O’Keefe emailing individuals and mentioning Mr Tyrmand is a violation of the injunction.” Tyrmand’s lawyer quickly interrupted the Judge saying: “I never made that allegation.” Judge Mato: “You kind of did…[Mr. Maroni].” Thank you to Judge Mato for throwing out the improper requests today and bringing common sense to the courtroom.
