National Police Bureau (NPB)

On the recommendation of the inquiry committee headed by DG NPB, constituted by PM 🇵🇰 to probe the Greece Boat Incident, the event was organized by @FIA_Agency, MOFA and @UNODC in collaboration with @EUPakistan. Delegates from 🇮🇷🇮🇶🇹🇷🇱🇾🇬🇷🇮🇹 participated in the event.

DG NPB delivered a keynote speech on the importance of international cooperation in combatting the menace of SOM at the inaugural session of a 2-days workshop on #SmugglingofMigrants and sharing best practices.

National Police Bureau organized a two-day orientation/training session on 29-30 April, specifically for women police officials selected by UN-SAT team through NPB facilitation, for UN peacekeeping mission. @unwomen_pak's support in making the event successful is acknowledged.

This initiative stems from a meticulously orchestrated two-day consultative workshop in September 2023 and aims to enhance the capacity of law enforcement officials for the dispensation of gender-responsive justice. @unwomen_pak @EUPakistan

NPB celebrated a landmark achievement with the launch of the National Gender Responsive Policing Framework (NGRPF) and the establishment of the National Gender Responsive Policing Unit (NGRPU) in Islamabad. in collaboration with UN Women and EU's Deliver Justice Project.

With support from @FCDOGovUK, ILO & @BureauNpb organized a series of training for the 9⃣5⃣ frontline officers of @ICT_Police in addressing child labour & enhancing protection of children against various forms of exploitation. Combatting child labour is🔑for achieving social justice & decent work!

Dr. Ehsan Sadiq, DG NPB, provided a comprehensive briefing to the @unwomen_pak delegation on the Bureau's pivotal role in policy formulation & advancing Gender-Responsive Policing. He further informed regarding a 15% surge in women's recruitment within the police over last 4 yrs.

Our delegation called on the Director General @BureauNpb to strengthen the partnership and advance Gender-Responsive Justice in Pakistan. DG acknowledged @unwomen_pak work & apprised that 🇵🇰 has seen 15% increase in women's participation in the police service in the last 4 years.

[3/3] Dr. Sadiq also highlighted Pakistan's strides in AML/CFT, achieving an impressive C/LC rating on 38/40 FATF recommendations. While celebrating success on #FATF, emphasis was placed on continual commitment to refine the #AML/#CFT system.

[2/3] Discussions delved into key areas like standardization of processes across police organizations, utility of crime databases, avenues of international cooperation, prospects of research & development and the scope of gender responsive policing.

[1/3] A delegation of 23 officers from PSP, FIA, and NAB, part of the 9th Domain Specific Specialized Training of the 38th MCMC, visited the NPB in Islamabad. Dr. Ehsan Sadiq, DG NPB, shared insights on the Bureau's pivotal role in national security and policy formulation.
