@MattGeorgeSAC You’re comparing the worst team in the league to one playing in the ECF. Be better Matt. All the numbers, including eye test, proved the Kings team was better with Ellis starting over Huerter.

3 separate playoff series now where Keon Ellis barely plays. Look, I thought he should play more here too. But two different coaches & front offices in Sac didn't play him, and now the Cavs. Maybe Mike Brown & Scott Perry were right to not give him too big a role/contract.

Wondering about the Harden double dribble call? He was certainly upset, but we can see that the ball does pause while still in his control... just before he then loses control and dribbles it again. He could've picked it up legally, just can't dribble again.

@The_StilesFiles Kings win this game and they have different odds owning 4th outright. The biggest miss was the coin toss once the results played out the way they played out. If kings were 3rd worst we’d all be livid seeing them drop to 6th Time to move to a simple flat odds system at this point

There’s just no way I can simply move on to draft evaluation without roasting how utterly ridiculous stuff like this was. The Kings just refused to get out of their own way at every turn.

@DeuceMason Expected the worse - seeing that only the coin flip or being dead last was the only way to pick top 4 (or winning more games to be Memphis or CHI), and that 2nd and 3rd dropped out of top 4, makes me a little numb to it all - but been numb this whole season anyways.

So, you've had some hours to process. How are you feeling about the results of the draft lottery?

@DeuceMason I feel really good. There will be at least one really good, even all star level player available for the Kings and that player will be selected with the 8th pick!

I just think that at that point, it's nit picky when the reason Sac is in that spot in the first place is due to a long line of ineptitude from the top to the staff. If they had 2, odds say Sac would screw it up somewhere else. Start pointing there instead.

Emerging from the sequestered lottery room to report Utah actually won the No. 3 pick after popping up second as well. So, the league had to toss out that outcome and draw again… which led to the Grizzlies claiming the third pick.

You know how a lottery works with sequences drawn (like raffle tickets - 2 people can have same amount of tix but it’s about what numbers match)

@douglaslwhite @James_HamNBA Not true. Kings have different odds if they outright owned 4th. They shared odds with the Jazz because of the tie and it was just the coin flip that decided who’s set of numbers were whose and ultimately the outcome.

@WorldWideWob @krishcoughran Silver lining is Kings didn’t get 2nd or 3rd and fall 3 spots. Came down to a coin flip. Jazz were unethical and got rewarded. Kings lose one more game, they don’t share the odds and maybe 4th actually falls too. We will never know.

The Sacramento Kings went 3-3 in the final month of the season while everyone else around them historically tanked. The result was them having to flip a coin with the Jazz for a standings tiebreaker. The Kings lost the coin flip, and will now pick 7th while the Jazz pick 2nd.

Utah got our pick at #2 because we are a stupid franchise.
