To our Bagole ( Rt hons @ObothOboth & @Thomas_Tayebwa ) Congratulations once again! Sorry to interrupt your Honey-moon. I have two prayers to make to you and all members of the 12th @Parliament_Ug . i) I request for a flexible Parliamentary calendar that allows members, reasonable amount of recess time to spend with their constituents doing barazas and outreaches. An MP having enough time listening to the people and monitoring the impact of government programs is one of the enablers of oversight & getting a people centered parliament that u pledged to us yesterday in your maiden acceptance speeches . This is also one way of reducing the high turnover of MPs at the next election. ii) And on a lighter note, please let's ammed the rules and bring back our African wear dressing ( Mandela shirts, bitenge shirts, smart casual, etc) in addition to Khaunda suit to form part of the acceptable Parliamentary wear. Eeeh Neck-ties & suits are killing us. I didn't sleep last night!
