Stable coin yield is not profits for Coinbase 🤦‍♂️ Stable coin yield is how retail and new customers are brought into crypto. He's fighting for crypto and you are too daft to understand. If he gets what he wants, people who currently have their money in banks will instead want to put their money in crypto, because the yield (apr) will be higher.

🚨 Brian Armstrong spent YEARS crying about regulators killing innovation. Then spent $75 MILLION buying politicians to pass the Clarity Act. The whole industry aligned. a16z, Ripple, the White House, TRUMP HIMSELF. Historic 294-134 House vote. Real crypto market structure for the first time EVER. And Brian blew it up. Twice. Why? Because stablecoins are 19% of Coinbase's revenue $355 million in a single quarter and he didn't want yield restrictions cutting into his bag. Not "freedom." Not "consumers." His quarterly earnings call. The White House was furious. a16z publicly broke with him. The Digital Chamber begged for unity. Brian posted that negotiations were "constructive" 😊 and killed it again. This man posed for White House photos. Said "win-win-win for crypto AND consumers!" Then tanked the one bill that could've changed everything because it didn't perfectly protect Coinbase's P&L. I have received three separate notifications about College Basketball from @coinbase in the past *hour* alone. It is absurd that, amidst arguably the worst collapse in trust in this industry’s history, the largest American CEX has completely pivoted to trying to get their customer base hooked on sports gambling, so that they can extract even more exorbitant fees. At this point, it is undeniable that Coinbase *is* part of the industry’s problem. I will be ending my Coinbase One subscription and moving my business to new a CEX, any recommendations?
