Armenians should not serve in Congress. Neither should Somalis. Or Guatemalans. Or — wait for it— Israelis. If you are a citizen of a foreign country, you shouldn’t serve in ours. We need to pass my bill to stop the invasion of dual citizens in Congress. NOW.

I dated a man once, and because I called him at 1 AM and he picked up right away, I was like, “Could you please come over?” I wanted to be close with him, and we had been dating for a while, so we had already crossed that point. He was like, “I’m so tired. I’ll come first thing in the morning, I promise.” And in my mind, I was like, a husband of mine would never turn me down because I need my man to be ready anytime, any place, at any moment. So I broke up with him because that felt cruel to me. I’m waiting on someone to get this post correct. I’m waiting for somebody to decipher this post

@LlewellynOuya False equivalence analogy. Even in your analogy, the so called feminist isn’t disagreeing with the advice. Two things can be true at the same time. Children, do not accept sweets. And why are adults offering children sweets?

Sabastian Sawe has broken the men's marathon world record in London. The Kenyan is the first person ever to run a marathon in under two hours in race conditions — his time was 1:59:30. Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia, making his marathon debut, achieved the feat 11 seconds later — 1:59:41. Fittingly, like London buses, you wait an eternity for one, then two come along at once 🚌 Remarkable.

A 14-year-old British-Kenyan boy charged with murder has been released on Sh500,000 cash bail after allegedly shooting dead another juvenile at his family's Ol Donyo Leboro Ranch in Laikipia West on the night of April 22. The suspect, Lance Tomlinson, was presented at Rumuruti Police Station by his father, Ivans Tomlinson, accompanied by legal counsel. Rumuruti Law Courts granted him a surety bond of Sh1.5 million or alternative cash bail of Sh500,000, with both the minor and his father ordered to surrender their passports. Lance raised the cash bail and walked free. The case returns to court on May 5, 2026. The father, Ivan Tomlinson, 60 — a British-Kenyan dual national and licensed civilian firearm holder — was separately processed for allegedly allowing a minor access to a firearm, contrary to the Firearms Act. He was released on Sh100,000 cash bail pending plea taking after presenting himself to DCI offices in Laikipia West. Crime scene investigators recovered a Mark Four CZ 527 rifle, one round of ammunition, and two spent cartridges at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate the fatal bullet entered the victim's right rear shoulder and exited through the upper right chest. The victim's body was moved to Rumuruti Funeral Home awaiting postmortem examination. Detectives from the DCI Laikipia West are handling investigations as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting.

@TheNairobiTimez The woman was already frustrated with something before the issue being raised. Making it about politics just because someone took the opportunity to record won't undo the damage. Ruto is the President! But the late Baba was never an option. Suck it up and wake up to vote.

A tense moment was witnessed inside a public service vehicle after a driver made a politically charged remark referencing the role of Kikuyu voters in the election of William Ruto during the 2022 Kenyan General Election. According to passengers, the driver stated in Swahili, “Ni Wakikuyu waliweka Kasongo kwa kiti”. The comment, however, did not sit well with one commuter, who reacted angrily, leading to a heated exchange inside the matatu. VIDEO 📽️👇

Dennis Njuguna, aka Cokora wa Nairobi, has landed in some deep shiet! On Monday this week, while driving along Thika Road with his crew, he spotted a car being driven recklessly. Fearing it could cause an accident, he blocked it. The driver turned out to be a 20-year-old with no license. A commotion broke out, and as a crowd began to gather, Cokora feared the young man might face mob justice. He stepped in, placed him in the boot of his car for safety, and drove him to Juja Police Station. He recorded an OB, but just as they were about to leave, things took a sudden turn ,they were detained and accused of abduction. Meanwhile, the same driver they had taken to the station was released immediately. Yesterday, the matter was settled after they paid the boy’s family KSh 25,000. But unexpectedly, a new charge of robbery with violence emerged, and he was detained again. This morning, he is at Thika Law Courts, still unaware of who the complainant is.

@muriaso The fact is that Citizen ignored the thousands of km of roads under construction because of the fuel levy. And why do you believe the cherrypicked data of biased media?

Citizen Tv has deconstructed Ruto's argument that fuel prices are higher in Kenya than our regional neighbours due to our status as a middle-income economy and longer road network. Ruto had said that Kenya has the most extensive paved road network of 20,000km exceeding all our 7 EAC neighbours' combined. Citizen shows that just Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda have a road network of 23,000km so the argument is not factual. On the economy status, Ruto said that Kenya is a middle-income economy while our neighbours are least developed. Data from World Bank classifies all the EAC countries, Kenya included, as lower-middle income economies. Finally, he had said that our fuel prices matches the prices in middle income economies. The citizen tv's fact check showed that fuel is expensive in Kenya compared to Mauritis, Sychelles, and South Africa hence the argument does not hold water. The fact is, none of the reasons above contribute the higher fuel prices. Our problem is high taxes, many levies, and shipping/marketers costs. If the government wanted to lower the fuel prices, they would do it.

President William Ruto: I know many people in Kenya keep asking why is it that sometimes the prices of fuel are different in Kenya from our neighbors. Kenya is a middle-income country. Our neighbors are least developed countries. There is a big difference. If you want to compare Kenya fairly with others, compare Kenya with other middle-income countries. #WeekendatOne

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US. France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.) Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors. NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.
