@Sahilinfra2 Soon you might find #MMRCL actually marketing the metro ride as a place for digital detox. They could have a cafe in one of the coaches, so that people can sip on a nice cup of coffee while commuting. Or MMRCL can organise speed dating events here. Lol

@MehulThakkar_ Most parts of Western Express Highway are a similar mess. The road near Akurli/ Poisar Metro station and Kurar Village is terrible. You cannot drive over 40kmph even if the road is empty here. Beyond Dahisar checknaka, the "highway" is not worth being called a "road"

@singhvarun @richapintoi @Dev_Fadnavis @AshwiniBhide In a city that has over 2.5crore population, you call this crowd as "use of metro". Try commuting by Western railway local trains or Metro1 at the same time, and you will see a proper crowd. Also try this same exercise on Metro3 after 6 months.

Where are those who claimed Mumbaikars won’t use the Metro? Today, Vedika, @richapintoi, and I used the metro at non-peak hours, and there was hardly a seat to sit. All credit goes to @Dev_Fadnavis’s forward thinking and @AshwiniBhide’s implementation.

Please clarify @MumbaiMetro3 As I noticed that at Marol T3 Metro station, there are two entrances where the escalator is available only to come up, and not to go down. also no signages to understand where the lift is

Dear Kaushal, Please note Escalators are available at Entry/Exit points A1, A2, and B2 from Ground Level to the Ticketing Area. Additionally, Lifts are provided at A2, B1, and B2 for passengers convenience. You need not carry your luggage through the staircase kindly use the available escalators and lifts for a comfortable and hassle-free journey.

What a thoughtful design by @MumbaiMetro3 of not adding escalators to metro stations directly connected to the airport! I had to walk down two floors with a heavy shoulder bag and a trolley bag. I don't feel bad for skipping the gym today. Kudos, Mumbai Metro! 🚝

Now that #Metro3 is fully functional, @WesternRly should reduce the focus on Churchgate and increase focus on Virar. Consider #Virar as the new #Churchgate. Increase Virar-Bandra, Virar-Andheri, Virar-Goregaon services. Reduce on CCG-Bandra/ Andheri services @drmbct

@bhaumikgowande Office employees should be allowed to work from Coworking spaces/ shared workspaces near their places of residence, for a city like Mumbai. Or WFH. This would reduce some burden on the trains/ metros for the timebeing. Infrastructure would take time to build.

When I said that automatic doors in Mumbai non-AC trains may not work, this is the demo. Frankly, Mumbai needs an RRTS system to run parallel to local trains and integrated with metro with an independent right of way.

How a new Metro junction is in the making at Dahisar East. The Mumbai Metro Red Line 7 & Yellow Line 2A now split after Ovaripada station to have two separate stations for Dahisar East. They will have a common interchange at the passenger level. While the Red Line will continue to Kashimira, the Yellow Line will go to Andheri west.
