the golden rule is that you should rarely if ever try to change anyone’s mind. this is a fool’s errand cuz it rarely works, & even when it does the belief you installed is way weaker, the person becomes resentful, & everything dynamic from then on becomes borrowed instead of owned. you can only gently probe until you understand why they arrived at that conclusion. then you must move on like it never happened. this is true for any type of relationship including professional but esp true in romantic dynamics.

You become harder to defeat when you stop needing perfect conditions. Train when the day is bad, work when the mood is flat, speak when your voice shakes, and recover when the plan breaks. The man who can operate without emotional permission eventually becomes dangerous.

your chatgpt history is your unfiltered cognition, the stuff you wouldn’t even tweet. your browsing history is your raw curiosity trail. your photos are frozen intimacy & accidental self portraiture. your messages are emotional telemetry. your mail is the transactional skeleton of your life. your calendar is the architecture of your past & future. your location history is where you actually go vs. where you say you go. your notes are a private brain dump, unpolished truths. once ai understands all of these at scale, it will unlock the most spiritual experience of your life. like an existential journey into the inner most *you*.

One of the cruelest lessons in game theory is that people do not need to dislike you to damage you. They only need incentives that make your loss useful to their gain, and that is why intelligent men stop relying on goodwill alone and start paying closer attention to structure, memory, and consequence.

I'm just not sure that I really have the bandwidth to care anymore. For my entire life, I've been fed the idea that if we provide food, medicine, money, and infrastructure to Africans, then they will eventually find their way out of their miserable situation. But they haven't and in all likelihood, they never will. In fact, everything we do to help them just seems to make it even worse. No one - absolutely no one - takes pleasure in seeing children starve. But the constant violence and war and killing and raping and starving and poverty and illness...it's just neverending. I'm at the point where I just think we need to let nature take its course and let their population naturally reduce to a level they can independently sustain. We can't fix these people, and we're going to have to just accept that killing each other is just how they go about their lives.

🇸🇩 In Sudan, more than 60% of the population is suffering from acute food shortages, with millions forced to eat leaves or animal feed to survive. According to the 2026 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, 61.7% of the population, around 28.9 million people, are acutely food-insecure. Tens of millions in Sudan are living on just one meal a day as the crisis deepens. The war between the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, now entering its third year, has displaced millions and fueled one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Reports based on interviews with farmers, traders, and humanitarian workers describe how the war is pushing communities toward famine, driven by the collapse of agriculture and the use of starvation as a weapon, including the deliberate destruction of farms and markets. Aid systems are under severe strain. Communal kitchens are struggling to meet growing demand, while funding cuts are limiting the ability of humanitarian organizations to respond. Women and girls are among the most affected, facing heightened risks of violence and rapes when going to fields, markets, or even collecting water. After years of intense Gaza reporting, the international mainstream media is turning a blind eye to the suffering in Sudan. Why?

The first tax of becoming perceptive is that you stop taking behavior at face value. You start noticing that many complaints are bids for power, many apologies are bids for access, many displays of warmth are bids for trust, and many displays of outrage are bids for status.

One of the hardest lessons in game theory is that a bad situation can remain stable for years, not because it is good, but because both sides fear the first move required to escape it, which is why so many people stay in weak jobs, cold relationships, and low trust arrangements long after they understand that the structure is quietly draining them.

Money is not real. It exists because we all agree it does. Kant: There is no objective reality. Plato: We stare at shadows and call them truth. The financiers understood this before anyone else. If you control what people believe has value you control everything. Make money God. Make consumption worship. Make work prayer. Consumerism is not freedom. It is the perfection of slavery. The difference from ancient slavery: You don't even know you're in chains.
