Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

I found this in the pocket of a nice jacket I thrifted. Do I have the right to spend it? My roommate is telling me that I don’t, because it wasn’t mine to begin with. She suggested that I should go back to the shop and tell the owner what I found, and if he allows it, then I can keep it. I don’t think I really have to do that since I bought the jacket, I feel like it’s already mine. She keeps insisting that I should return it and even offered to take me there if I don’t feel like going.

I didn't think it could get worse, I was wrong. Watching that illegal animal from Haiti beat a woman to death with a hammer has radicalized me more than I thought possible. Our politicians bear the blame for this. It was an intentional policy choice. The Biden admin opened our border to the criminal filth from the third world knowing that would kill Americans like me and you. The blood is on their hands. Prosecute anyone inside the Biden admin who allowed for this to take place 13,000 Americans are DEAD because of them. These government officials must be punished. Lock them up.

They won’t and they probably could careless because it wasn’t their family one of the things I’ve always been curious about is there’s over 400 people in Congress not one died from Covid. Is that not weird not one went on a ventilator did we ever hear about any of them dying no only out here in our universe where they dying. The first bout killed a lot of elderly people the second one 40s 5060s now they want you to give injections to children, teenagers and babies you’d have to be crazy to allow Pfizer to do that. All they did was change the vaccine per age.

We went out to dinner with a group of five, and by the end of the night the bill was right around $577 and change. When it came time to pay, we left a $60 tip because we felt like that was a fair amount and wanted to leave something extra for the service. What I didn’t expect was the server making a comment that she was expecting closer to $120. And no, it didn’t come across like some light little joke either. The tone felt serious, the moment got awkward fast, and suddenly we were standing there feeling uncomfortable over a tip we had already chosen to leave in the first place. When we pushed back and mentioned possibly talking to a manager, that’s when the story suddenly changed to “I was just kidding.” But let’s be real — not every rude comment magically becomes a joke just because someone gets called out on it. The whole thing left us feeling weird and honestly kind of embarrassed, because we weren’t trying to short anybody. We tipped what we thought was reasonable, and being confronted like that completely changed the vibe of the night. So now I’m curious — was $60 on a $577 bill really that unreasonable, or would most people also think asking for $120 was way out of line?🙄🙄 By Martha Barker
