1AF Auxiliary Chaplains keep the faith, forging a new alliance w/Airmen in CA. The program & partnership, in development for a year, allows active/reserve/civilian Airmen to access spiritual support in person, through virtual tele-ministry, and even using immersive VR technology.

Soon after the tragic events of 9/11/2001, @CivilAirPatrol aircraft flew blood supplies for the @RedCross and provided aerial damage assessment photos of lower #Manhattan for @fema. Volunteers serving America’s communities, saving lives, and shaping futures. #NeverForget

1AF's AF Rescue Coordination Center in 2020 responded to 10,849 incidents, 762 of which required they go to mission, saving 349 lives. The team works with interagency partners & AF Auxiliary volunteers 24 hours/day, 365 days/year responding to missing persons & distress calls.
