“If the war is almost over, why is the Pentagon going to ask Congress for an additional $200 billion?” CBS News' @weijia asks President Trump. “We’re asking for a lot of reasons, beyond even what we’re talking about in Iran. This is a very volatile world,” Trump says, later adding, “it’s a small price to pay to make sure we stay tippy top.”

Rafael Grossi — head of the IAEA — told @margbrennan he doesn't disagree with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's assessment that Iran's nuclear enrichment program was obliterated. "We don't see major activity, which is logical, because there is a, there is a military campaign ongoing," he said. But, he says "a lot still has survived" in terms of knowledge and industrial ability. "This is why we need to go back to a negotiating table," he said.

Director of “All The Empty Rooms,” @JSeftel, says the film was designed to shift the focus away from perpetrators and back toward the children whose lives were lost. After winning the #Oscar for Best Documentary Short, he said centering the film on grief, absence and the humanity of the children can help move the conversation beyond politics and toward real change. Seftel added that the win now gives the film an even bigger platform, helping ensure the world remembers the children whose lives were lost due to gun violence: Hallie Scruggs (9), Gracie Muehlberger (15), Dominic Blackwell (14) and Jackie Cazares (9). cbsnews.com/rooms

When asked about the anti-Muslim statements made by some Republican lawmakers in recent weeks, GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw tells @margbrennan those sentiments are “still fairly fringe” and “not a mainstream narrative, by any stretch.” “There are plenty of peaceful Muslims who live among us.” Crenshaw (R-TX) says.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) says people should not take President Trump sending additional Marines to join the U.S. forces in the Middle East “as a boots-on-the-ground deployment, especially with only 5,000 troops.” “I take it as a seriousness of committing to the situation, which is exactly what is needed. If you’re going to do this, which we have done, you need to see it through,” Crenshaw says.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, the Kremlin's propaganda machine framed the war as a heroic calling, drilling the message into children at every school in the country. One brave teacher turned his camera onto that indoctrination. The result: a remarkable Oscar-nominated documentary, "Mr. Nobody Against Putin." Elizabeth Palmer talks with schoolteacher Pasha Talankin, now living in exile, and his co-director David Borenstein, about the moral choice Talankin made as an act of resistance to expose Putin's lies. cbsn.ws/4lEOmcj
