Under the decisive leadership of PM @NarendraModi ji, India has reached a framework for an Interim Agreement with the US. This will open a $30 trillion market for Indian exporters, especially MSMEs, farmers and fishermen. The increase in exports will create lakhs of new job opportunities for our women and youth.
As part of this framework, the US will slash reciprocal tariffs on Indian goods to 18%, providing a huge market opportunity in key sectors such as textiles & apparel, leather & footwear, plastic & rubber products, organic chemicals, home décor, artisanal products, and select machinery in the world’s largest economy.
Additionally, tariffs will go down to zero on a wide range of goods, including generic pharmaceuticals, gems & diamonds, and aircraft parts, thereby further enhancing India’s export competitiveness and Make in India.
India will also get exemptions under section 232 on aircraft parts, tariff rate quota on auto parts and negotiated outcomes on generic pharmaceuticals, leading to tangible export gains in these sectors.
At the same time, the Agreement reflects India’s commitment to safeguarding farmers’ interests and sustaining rural livelihoods by completely protecting sensitive agricultural and dairy products, including maize, wheat, rice, soya, poultry, milk, cheese, ethanol(fuel), tobacco, certain vegetables, meat, etc.
This agreement will help India and the US remain focused on working together to further deepen economic cooperation, reflecting shared commitment to sustainable growth for our people and businesses.

Over the last one week, pleased to have met teams from new airlines aspiring to take wings in Indian skies—Shankh Air, Al Hind Air and FlyExpress.
While Shankh Air has already got the NOC from Ministry, Al Hind Air and FlyExpress have received their NOCs in this week.
It has been endeavour of the ministry to encourage more airlines in Indian Aviation which is amongst the fastest growing aviation markets in the world owing to the policies of the government of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji. Schemes like UDAN, has enabled smaller carriers Star Air, India One Air, Fly91 etc. to play an important role in the regional connectivity within the country and there is more scope for further growth.

UIDAI conducted an informative webinar on ‘Offline Verification using the Aadhaar App’. Ahead of the formal launch of the new Aadhaar App, the meet observed participation of over 250 entities and individuals from various sectors. UIDAI gave a detailed overview of the advantages offered by offline verification.
In his welcome address, Sh. Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO, UIDAI, highlighted the objective of the webinar -- to promote Offline Verification, built a strong ecosystem around it and spread awareness about the features, benefits, and potential of offline Aadhaar verification through the forthcoming Aadhaar App.
He emphasised that offline verification would offer both users and entities a secure, convenient and privacy-protecting method for identity verification and discourage sharing and reliance on physical/ photocopy of Aadhaar which otherwise is a possible reason for potential fraudulent practices.

Notification No. 9/2025-Central Tax (Rate) : Downward Revision of Tax Rates
Notification No. 10/2025-Central Tax (Rate) : Exemption of Specific Supplies
Detailed analysis of ITC scenarios post notification of both situations
Scenario 1: Downward GST Rate Revision (Notification No. 9/2025)
As per Circular No. 135/05/2020-GST, refund of such accumulated ITC is not permitted. However, the credit remains in the electronic credit ledger and can be used for future output tax liabilities.
No reversal is required under this scenario.
Scenario 2: Transition to Exempt supply (Notification No. 10/2025)
Supplies that become exempt from 22.09.2025 trigger a statutory obligation to reverse previously claimed ITC.
This includes credit on:
— Inputs held in stock,
— Semi-finished and finished goods,
— Capital goods (based on remaining useful life in months).
Compliance Mandates:
— File FORM GST ITC-03 within 30 days of the exemption coming into effect (i.e., by 21.10.2025).
— Obtain CA/CMA certification if the total credit to be reversed exceeds ₹2,00,000.
— Disclose reversal in GSTR-3B (Table 4(B)(2)) and report it in GSTR-9.

A Yamuna Bridge on NH-34 remains closed for vehicles every weekend for maintenance in Hamirpur (UP).
Enforcement so strict that an ambulance carrying a labourer’s mother’s dead body was stopped despite his pleas. He had to carry it on a stretcher for 1 km.
Looks insensitive, but it can still be deemed acceptable as rules are rules. What’s not acceptable is that a BJP MLA’s car was allowed to cross the same bridge after it was closed. Just a week ago, a principal secretary and a district officials' cavalcade were also permitted.
It seems we are still living in the British Raj, where rules differ for the ruling class and the common people.
