@DefiantLs I agree with maximum age age limits . Biden was a disaster and his advanced age had a lot to do with it. Trump is also not nearly as sharp as he used to be.Maximum of 70 years to be eligible to run for President.

@Iamivy05 People are more understanding of a mother leaving in the middle of the day for her kid then a father unless he is a single dad.

when my 4-year-old’s daycare held a “lunch with mom” event, every single mom showed up. we all have other jobs, which is why our kids are in daycare. but we took off work or found a way to get there in the middle of the day. now, they’re doing an event for the dads … at 6:30 in the evening. it’s a small example, but the double standards are real.

@LavenderGhast So your problem with an apocalyptic scenario is that you can't bully or cancel people on twitter from a safe distance in an apocalyptic scenario ? Pathetic

A lot of post apocalypse media is so scared of shifting away from modern society because there's still so many people who act like its modern day Seattle, you can still be openly queer like its nothing when really just days after an apocalypse people would default back to before modern days once you lose its protections. Reality is once society breaks down you'd go back to being utterly terrified of being different or standing out, you'd be vetting the sh*t out of anyone before you'd ever suggested you were queer to them if you ever admitted it again and didn't just get married to stay in a safe community and not be outcast. If some guy who is slightly of more higher standing or more use to the community takes issue now you can cancel them on twitter but in the apocalypse they're picking the guy who knows how to hunt or shoe a horse everytime and you're out on your ass just for disrupting the peace. There's no making the guy apologize with bigot sandwiches. It kind of annoys me how much apocalyptic media glosses over how hard it would be and make it for you to have any openly queer leanings post apocalypse. You don't get to be gay or trans after society falls. People think rights are under threat now, imagine when there are no system of rights.

I have a friend who used to beat his girlfriends. Apparently, two of them experienced his hot temper and physical abus3. He has now been married for three years, and he has never slapped his wife. Not even once. When I asked him if marriage had humbled him, he smiled and said: "My hot temper is still there, but my wife is just a very sweet woman. Whenever I am angry and talking, she does not talk back. She listens quietly when I speak. When I am yelling, she simply gets closer, hugs me, and lays her head on my shoulder. If I get angry and refuse to eat her food, she serves both of us and waits patiently until I am ready to eat before she touches hers." He looked at me and concluded: "Marriage did not humble me. My lovely wife did it with her respect and submission." Above all, love God.

@sw_holocron Had Thrawn been Force sensitive enough to use the Force he would have been a much better Sith lord then Vader who was in the end only a very powerful enforcer for Palpatine.

Grand Admiral Thrawn would’ve succeeded where Vader and the Emperor failed in the original Star Wars trilogy, says creator Timothy Zahn. “I thought how easy that first movie could’ve ended with a victory. ‘We’ve analyzed their attack, there’s a threat. You want to evacuate?’ No, Thrawn would’ve said, ‘Specify.’ ‘Okay, call a TIE fighter, have it sit on that vent.’ That’s all it would’ve taken. Thrawn will listen.” (Source: thepopverse.com/movies-star-wa…)

@CCOEJ @mykael_yuddy Well it's illegal now, and mostly only in places that developed as a result of Christianity, like the West. So, in actuality, it did. You're referring to the violators of that law. Who exist in every culture and theological environment. Not a valid argument.

@torisu845 No amount of training would increase your force sensitivity. A 5,8 man could practice/train basketball his entire life at the end of the day he is still going to be 5,8 and never make it to the NBA. Without the minimum ammount of force sensitivity you cant become a Jedi.

You don’t “become” force sensitive. Everybody is force sensitive. Some are just more sensitive than others. Sabine had extremely low sensitivity. This means she had to work harder to use the force. Lucas has talked about this extensively.
Marauder Matt@marauder_matt

I think the rejection of Sabine becoming force sensitive and this mocking idea that “anyone can use the force” is completely antithetical to what the force represents and the real world magic/mysticism that inspired it. Why would we ever look at the Force as something exclusive?

@mykael_yuddy The proliferation of the modern concept of "human decency" is very different from previous renditions. It was the decent thing to do in a lot of cultures, to commit marital rape and create male progeny by whatever means necessary. Christianity fixed that. You're welcome.

Halal meat is slaughtered according to Islamic law, and a blessing is spoken in the name of Allah. Should Christians avoid halal meat? Does this count as "meat sacrificed to idols"?

@DeeWaynee94 Humans had empathy, reciprocity, taboos on murder and care for each other for their own tribe/people not so much for outsiders/rival tribes/people before christianity. After chistianity this has not changed much in reality.

@zando75545384 @UpdatingOnRome No it would'nt Romes over reliance on slavery stagnated technological advancement. Things would have been better for the Roman Empire had Caesar lived longer not necessarily for the entire world. Caesar great as he was would not have a solution for the problem of slavery,

@UpdatingOnRome Caesar by far. Avoiding the collapse of the roman empire, avoiding the dark - middle ages of stagnation. A stable huge empire with massive resources and manpower, engineering project minded leader would have turbocharged technological advancement by up to 1000 years.

@hashaszegoat @RealPostFolder Un til the early 1990s a careful serial killer had a good chance of getting away with it due to no DNA evidence, weak cooperation between law enforcement and less digital surveilance.
