As a trans woman, I really want to apply for asylum in one of these countries, but even in these countries, anti-immigrant sentiment is rapidly growing. Because of this, getting a visa to go to these countries is becoming more difficult, and most asylum applications are being rejected. In a time when transphobia is more prevalent than homophobia, the increasing anti-immigrant sentiment is a terrible thing.
