@MartinSLewis Would it have killed them to suspend the penalty in the mean time? I'm stuck with the prospect of now completing on my first home in the next month or so and like many others getting penalised for it. Demoralising - worst investment I've made.

LISAs! Not in Budget, but in docs. #Budget2025 Consultation on replacing the Lifetime ISA with a new first time buyers product will take place in early 2026 (so probably take longer for it to be launched.) And I have been promised by a very senior member of the government, that this will include looking at increasing the £450,000 threshold of the existing LISA as the people who have those, cannot be left with a dead product. I will also be lobbying that if the new product is better people should be able to transfer all their LISA (and Help To Buy) money into it.

@CDesborough @TalkTalk Have you received anything from them about them acknowledging the problem? I've seen comments on their forum, but most customers won't be on there and I haven't received anything other that the "Your payment was unsuccessful" email. @TalkTalk seem to be a complete mess.

Well there's a surprise, @TalkTalk failed to move my DD over from Shell and are trying to charge me £12.50 for the privilege. In fact, they *might* have failed to transfer ALL former Shell customers' DD across. This is going to be an expensive mistake for them.

@sarahlj2 @TalkTalk They should’ve emailed you - their billing cycle is different so there’s a period of extra use they need to recoup before the period starts - subsequent bills should go back to normal

@HMRCcustomers Got advised to call 0300 200 3500 to speak to the self employed contact centre. On hold for 1 hour 3 minutes before Alieu picked up and advised he couldn't help - put me through to someone else who cut me off. Fuming. DM me to resolve
