NEW: Politico knew at the time of publication precisely what Jenny Racicot texted to Graham Platner but deliberately omitted it from their article. Racicot, according to the lead Politico reporter on the story, told Platner she “needed her glute massaged.” He told her he was coming right over; she responded by telling him not to do so, but he came over quickly.

The cheapest 3 bedroom house in my area costs £190k, with a 10% deposit at 5.33% interest rate for 30 years
£953 a month
That’s £343,080
That’s £153,080 in interest
But then the cheapest 3 bedroom house for rent is £1450 a month
After 30 years of payments that’s £522,000
That rent is £178,920 more then the mortgage with interest
Historically, UK house prices have often averaged around 3-5% annual growth over long periods, that house would be worth between £461k to £821k
And some people will still say renting is better than mortgage since it has more freedom and no responsibilities.
