False. It was down to the US and the UK. But don’t let facts get in the way of things. 1950’s Mossadegh was going to nationalise the oil industry. America/UK overthrew the government and put in the Shah to align them with “Western Values”. 1970’s the population of Iran exiled the Shah because he was a brutal dictator himself. The killing of children or innocent people on both sides is abhorrent - did you mention anything about the 26 unarmed civilians being shot at (13 of them dying whilst fleeing or trying to help those who were wounded), on 30th January (Bloody Sunday)?
