Hostages provide more details on how they were treated in captivity: They were pummelled with sticks after abduction, held underground, no shower for 50 days, little food; they were treated by Israeli nurse who was also taken hostage; doctor says elderly women needed incredible strength to survive. Many were described by examining physicians as suffering from malnutrition. One had lost 20 kg (44 lbs).

During the ceasefire, Hamas has: 1. Fired rockets at Israeli civilians. 2. Detonated three bombs targeting IDF troops. 3. Opened fire on Israeli soldiers. 4. Violated the conditions of the hostage-for-prisoners deal by refusing to release mothers and their children together. 5. Denied the Red Cross permission to visit the hostages or provide them with medication. 6. Refused to release the youngest baby from captivity. 7. Held over 170 innocent civilians in captivity, subjecting them to minimal food and torture. Remember, this is what Hamas considers a ceasefire.

Today is the 5th anniversary of the Tree of Life Synagogue mass shooting, the deadliest terrorist attack on the Jewish community in US history. ‘Never forget’ is not only about remembrance. It is a call to action against antisemitism. We should all feel called by history and humanity to act against Antisemitism.

I'll never be a Republican. That's not my view of the world or government's purpose. But to finally recognize that some of the most insidious anti-semitism in America is coming from within my own party, that feels like a profound betrayal I'm really having trouble reconciling.

When George Floyd was murdered, Jews were out in the streets protesting and getting beat by cops along with our Black brothers and sisters. I didn't see Hamas protesting, nor did I see Hamas on social media posting in support of civil rights here in the US.

If Gaza hospitals need electricity, why not plug a cord into one of #Hamas's tunnels? We are almost certain that Hamas terrorists cannot spend a minute in their tunnels (completely dark/not ventilated) without electricity. If Hamas's tunnels have electricity, they should extend a line to hospitals.

What hurts the most is that these Arab and Muslim immigrants left their ancestral land seeking liberty, freedom, and democracy. Once they naturalized, they started cheering for the same tyranny and backwardness that they had escaped from and left behind. Arabs and Muslims should understand the difference between being proud of their culture and tribally defending their oppressors and the reason why their ancestral homeland is still a mess.
