Beneath the proud banner of “Semper Paratus,” where valor should shine brightest, a brave whistleblower testified before Congress on August 8, 2024, revealing decades of hidden sexual assaults and institutional cover-ups - only to face swift betrayal through a sham investigation designed to silence and discredit her. This heartbreaking story - far too familiar for Coasties - is spreading through the Coastie network. For over a year, this whistleblower has carried the weight of relentless retaliation. Her story is painfully familiar, one shared in whispers by hundreds of survivors across the Coast Guard who have faced the same playbook: silence the victim, question their credibility, protect the chain of command at all costs. The difference this time? She refuses to be silenced. While Coast Guard leaders stand before Congress delivering polished vows of reform and decisive action against systemic failures, their true priorities are exposed in how they treat this whistleblower: a rushed, one-sided probe designed not to uncover truth, but to manufacture doubt and intimidate anyone else daring to speak. This is not accountability. This is retaliation dressed as due process - another box-checking exercise in a decades-long pattern of shielding the institution while abandoning its own people. Actions always speak louder than words. Enough is enough. Hundreds of survivors remain trapped in this torment, their trust in the service that swore to protect them shattered. Congress must look past polished speeches and flashy rhetoric, and hold Coast Guard leadership accountable for their actions - not their words. Real reform, real protection, and real justice are long overdue. Bravo to this Coastie for standing strong and doing what’s right. Please share this to reveal the truth inside the Coast Guard. @SenateCommerce @HSGAC @HSGAC_GOP

The Coast Guard lectures Congress on the need for timely Congressional action - yet the CG itself has been anything but timely with its own mandated reports. At least 108 are overdue, some by years. How can the CG demand timeliness from Congress when the CG refuses to practice it itself? If the CG can simply ignore mandated reporting laws, what other laws are they ignoring? 🤔 Operation Fouled Anchor cover-up comes to mind. transportation.house.gov/calendar/event…

Sharing this from another platform as it really highlights how the CG’s internal processes work - and how the CG can seriously impact a member’s career in just one note. Also, the CG’s FOIA request process is absolutely horrific and desperately needs outside oversight. linkedin.com/pulse/coast-gu…

@CGCultureChange Here is the truth no one wants to hear about all of this. Even back to 2001. When you name the predator … it all goes to a database. Good and bad…

You deserve whatever the law says you deserve, and it's pretty explicit. My whole point this ENTIRE time is that I am NOT the expert on your situation or anyone else's, and it is not my place to go around sh!t-talking other veterans based on the ravings of @sircalebhammer, suggesting there is rampant, systemic fraud when I don't know anything about them, their disabilities or their claims. I do NOT go around worrying about whether or not someone got more than than me for injuries that might seem less... I DO go around trying to make sure other veterans in my sphere of influence have access to that which they are lawfully entitled. P.S. I also maximize the lawful write-offs on my tax returns.

@thestinkeye @RickTheDickhead You seem to be the overseeing expert on what's right and what's wrong. Do I deserve 100%? 70% 50%??? Should I be getting more than you based on what I did and the damage it caused to me? Does some little sniveling twerp who never left the states deserve more? You're the expert!

The debate over VA disability benefits remains heated. Some argue women shouldn’t serve in the military; others insist only injuries in combat should qualify for disability. Forgotten: the Feres Doctrine bars service members from suing the military - even for clear negligence or military sexual trauma (MST). Yet inequities persist: women veterans often face gender-based discrimination in VA claims and healthcare, including inadequate facilities, limited women-specific medications, and biased care. Many veterans - men and women - carry invisible wounds: PTSD, MST trauma, and other life-altering injuries from military service, regardless of MOS, rating, combat or non-combat duties. Let’s never forget: many veterans carry these scars in silent. All deserve fair, consistent, compassionate support. @NativeTexan_17 @operationmilly

Attention. Signing up for any contract makes you a sex slave. Anyway…
Department of Autism And ADHD Defense@AutismADHDWar

@NativeTexan_17 In the history of warfare women have always been subjected to such. It’s autism and youth to think people leading care about you and very naive. Your contract literally says you were a slave. Sex slave is one step adjacent. Be quiet no one wants to hear you speak. Go read a book.

@NativeTexan_17 Hearing the barrage of demeaning comments directed at the Coastie in this film was genuinely heartbreaking. The fact that they came from people of high ranks only underscores how deeply entrenched the culture of sexual misconduct remains today.

“There was no justice, no accountability. The system closed ranks, protected itself, and left me to carry the consequences.” This phrasing has become disturbingly familiar. Why is that?

Dr. Kimberly McLear courageously exposed Cmdr. Jesse Millard’s guilty finding for unlawful retaliation against her. Yet, the CG hid the truth, redacted records, and pushed him towards a Captain promotion anyway. Does the CG still view sexual harassment and assault as isolated incidents that don’t pervade the entire service? If the CG is truly committed to ending its toxic culture why do they still continue to shield the very officers who cause it?

Why hasn’t the Coast Guard taken real, sustained action to confront its entrenched culture of sexual misconduct? The FOIA data isn’t neutral - it shows a clear, worsening trend. MST claims from CG veterans have climbed from double digits a decade ago to hundreds every single year, with 2023 and 2024 hitting the highest levels. If the numbers keep rising, what does that say about the CG’s culture? If leadership knows this, why hasn’t meaningful reform followed? If survivors continue to come forward in growing numbers, why isn’t that driving urgent change by CG leaders? These records aren’t just statistics. They’re evidence of a system that has failed to protect its people. FOIA by @kdrkrepp

@SafeWaters1790 recently received a major grant and is now exploring the idea of hosting a retreat for members of their all‑women meetup. These meetups are held virtually and are led exclusively by women, creating a supportive, comfortable space. If you’re interested in learning more, feel free to reach out to me and I can connect you with someone from @SafeWaters1790.
