Mueller's Special Counsel team did subpoena and receive records from Deutsche Bank (focused on Manafort and Trump Organization affiliates). They had access to plenty of financial data through other means too. The core Mueller conclusion that there was “no criminal conspiracy or coordination with Russia” (yes, this is actually what was said) didn't hinge on "denied" financials. They just didn't find it after two f’ing years and hundreds of interviews.
Framing congressional Democrat subpoenas as evidence the "fed investigation" was stonewalled is sloppy at best.
