A ton of riggers now and talking about how they have a million backups and "dead man switches" to protect your cmo3 file now that casual vtubers are informed about how important and nessecary they are. I just gotta come out and say it, I think they're lying to you. It's a very easy and unfalsifiable way to claim they've fixed the problem without you being able to see any sort of protections. It also still doesn't fix the issue cause you're still required to come back to them for more work until they kick the bucket. Riggers, just give your clients their files. Please, just stop digging.

@freckledsprout Define "right next to" in terms of measured distance. What you're asking for is a tall order for any microphone if you mean a matter of inches or a few feet. A mic alone won't solve this. Rode NT1 Gen 5 to answer the question.

‼️STREAMERS‼️ What microphones are you guys using?? I am currently using a FiFine gaming mic but am really tempted to swap to a more podcast like mic for quality My husband games right next to me and no matter my settings I always have an issue with picking up his voice I was looking into the Shure VM7+ to try since it’s type C and an XLR mic so I can decide to get audio interface if it’ll help I would so appreciate if you could let me know what you use & how you like it!! ~🧚🏻🌱🪻~ #vtuber #envtuber

@TheChrisWray @CerealThing @MoreOrLessAMess @MikeGoo97706223 You don't understand the numbers you are posting and it shows. It's easy to get relative humidity when your temps are just mild to cool. That's why when London spiked up the humidity dropped to 23%. Look at your dew points and wet bulbs.

@briggityboppity Yesterday, when this was at its peak, the Heat Index temp for London was -lower- than the actual temperature. As a Floridian I nearly fell out of my chair I am embarrassed but I was actually ignorant heat index could actually be negative. They were at 23% humidity.

I was wondering about this because I've been seeing europeans talking about how they US south doesn't understand humidity, so I was like oh they must be really humid over there But now I have people being like "what do you mean the air can make things moist and moldy" lol

@tropotropotropo Forgive me if I'm misremembering but wasn't Joplin one of the Tornados that illustrated that some steel doors on some shelters weren't....steely enough, and failed due to debris.

Now I'm seeing ppl say why don't Americans tornado proof their houses...as someone who grew up near Joplin you cannot tornado proof a house lmao...you can get a tornado shelter and pray and that's about it

@CISSPSeagull @MoiDawg Yes I'm aware, I have one of those in the office building I work (in fact I made the calculations 😅) but I already have heating so I don't need it. A simple AC only unit it is way cheaper.

The fact that Europeans have to use a wildfire to compare to what us in Houston would call "cool weather" is absolutely insane

@Eviscerador @MoiDawg Oh, look into one of the splits that can run in reverse for heating then, those are a thing if you weren't aware.

@CISSPSeagull @MoiDawg That being said, it is a mid term investment, we still have plenty of chill days and we can endure a few heat waves. Our avg temp in summer is 65-70F. Plenty of room yet. There is a reason you can see a strip of vibrant green in the northern side of spain 🤣

@Eviscerador @MoiDawg I just hope you don't have landlord issues with that or whatever. I hope you're in a situation where you can just install it, if you decide to, and no one can protest. Good luck out there.

@CISSPSeagull @MoiDawg Correct. Most flats here lack double ceilings or false walls to install ducting. Only big penhouses and rich houses afford them. Split is the way to go here, Just a pair of pipes and you can have AC anywhere you want. And since flats are smaller, with one unit you have enough.

@Eviscerador @MoiDawg Mini split seems the way to go, ducting can be lossy if not done correctly and there doesn't seem to be much room in your construction for ducting in the first place.

@CISSPSeagull @MoiDawg European houses are usually well insulated, which is part of the problem, when we have several hot days they keep the heat inside. Sure, with time many people will install AC units on their homes. I'm actually looking for installing a Split unit on my living room.
