BREAKING: The New York Times declares that there are “numerous signs” that Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and “perhaps a dozen or more of Trump’s allies” will be criminally charged by Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis for trying to steal Biden’s win — and that the charges can come as soon as next month. The New York Times also says that “nearly 20” of Trump’s allies are “targets who could face charges, including Rudy Giuliani and David Shafer, the head of the Georgia Republican Party." This is a MASSIVE deal, because these are potential RICO racketeering charges — which are far more serious and carry a far lengthier prison sentence than the charges stemming from the Stormy Daniels case. They are lowering qualification standards. They were starting that in the navy when I was a controller there and the FAA was doing that in the 90s. Had an instuctor a few years back that came from another facility to grade students on their final lab problem. One such instructor commented that he was happy the kid he listened to passed, otherwise he'd had to jump through hoops explaining why he failed. The Kid was black. When I went to the academy in 84 there was at least a 60% washout rate at the academy and another 40% failure at their facility. There were set hours to check out on each position. The chances of being given a few more hours was extremely rare. I knew trainees who had 4 or the 6 sectors in their area and was washed out. A lot of potentially good controllers were washed out. They had rules which applied to everyone. Before I left in 05 those training hours are now subjective and there's not the same quality of controllers now than there was, some, not most like it used to be.
