@S___Elliott Cannot agree about No Country for Old Men…both book and movie are flawless. And the movie is in lockstep with the book.

@S___Elliott LA Confidential.
Deliverance
A Clockwork Orange
Blade Runner (a short story, not a book)

I hate to say it, but they're probably smart to move. Even if you could--tomorrow--wave a magic wand make all elected officials middle of the road Republican, at minimum remove all the democrat leftists/communists, it will take a generation to restore Portland and Oregon economy to what it was 10-15 years ago. The damage is extensive, and deep. Oregon in general, and Portland in particular, are not economically competitive, they're not investible. Add in the crime, junkies, miserable schools.....it's just terrible. For a young family, or business venture, there's just no upside visible here.

Multiple individuals have said the same thing about Portland’s local build industry. Building permits have dropped to 1/5 of what they were just 5 years ago.

@PDXReal1 Everyone in the union is claiming this is worse than 2008 Over 1000 out of work Journeyman Electricians. 500 out of work plumbers and pipefitters. A lot of people are thinking about moving to Arizona, Texas and the east coast. It’s getting worse not better which is alarming.
English

@BuckSexton @CM0199 Because it’s the same movie with a worse cast.
English

@b3a5tc0c @BuckSexton I was really looking forward to it…I’m willing to admit it’s not an all-time bad movie, but I hated it.
English

@CM0199 @BuckSexton Everyone has their own an opinion. Blade Runner 2049 was an incredible movie.
English

@LWPopulist90715 @BuckSexton It was Denzel Washington’s worst performance ever…embarrassing
English

@CM0199 @BuckSexton Nah, the opening battle scene makes it worth it. There was some good acting in it too
English

@BuckSexton I’ve never actively hated a movie so much…maybe a function of my expectations going in.
English

@CM0199 Gladiator II might be the biggest drop off from original to sequel of all time

@AutismCapital @michelletandler Think how easy it will be for the legislature to lower that threshold over the coming years…

🚨BREAKING: Washington State passes their first ever income tax. Incomes over $1M/year will be taxed at 9.9%. Married couples share A SINGLE $1M exemption, so if combined incomes are more than $1M, you're getting taxed. This will obviously eventually extend beyond millionaires. What comes for others, will eventually come for you! RIP Washington state!

Cleveland receives :
Ed Oliver
2026 First round pick
2027 First round pick
Buffalo receives :
Myles Garrett
Would you make this trade #billsmafia ??

English

@AjayCybulski Why? That’s cheap for a starting QB, and Willis has shown he can play in the NFL, unlike any rookie Miami could draft this year. Good move for Miami.
English

@LokiJulianus Not sure about that, but there are massive oil reserves in places like Alaska, Canada and Venezuela that don’t have to go through the Straight. When oil is >$100 barrel, petroleum companies will increase production until the price falls. Theoretically.
English

@brianhgibson @RavensTerpsOs @benbbaldwin 1) that was for a QB, 2) the Rams only gave up one first round pick, so I don’t consider that a mega-trade. So many counter-examples…
English

The Ravens gave the Seahawks Mike Macdonald and saved them from making this terrible trade, thank you x2

Breaking: The Raiders are trading five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks, per @AdamSchefter. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two firsts back to Vegas.
English

@RavensTerpsOs @benbbaldwin The success rate of these types of trades are extremely low
