Detroit Tigers with a different lead off approach at 3B. Lead inside the line in fair territory to be more efficient in occupying the throwing lane & making it tough on the left side infielders to find an opening. It appears that they only do it when the hitter’s spray chart indicates that he will not hit balls down the 3B line fair. In this case it was LHP on LHH.

@CoachDavidKlein It's the parents trying to live vicariously through their kids. Maybe they never won a trophy when they played? I don't get it. Parents are ruining kids by making ball their entire life and getting to the next level. Is it a pride issue? I'm better than you b/c my kid's better?

I'm not saying this is every kid. It's not.
But I'm recognizing something happening across the country for a lot of young ballplayers.
We're getting so serious, so early, that the fun is quietly slipping out of the game. You know the kids I’m talking about…
A travel ball kid came to one of our camps, and when I asked what he loved, he just said "it was just having fun, just playing baseball."
And that hit me!
Because at the youngest ages, that's the whole point. That's what this is supposed to be.
Maybe we all just need a reset on what youth sports is really about.
Not all of them. But a lot of them. And it's worth paying attention to.
