@thsottiaux does this respect the settings from the cli, e.g. experimental features? it seems not aligned, e.g. web search is not working in jetbrains products while it's working from the cli. is it a wrapper to the installed cli or its own instance?

My easiest hot take of all time: Pros dont need 500hz max performance. I think past a certain refresh rate its just placebo. I cant imagine youre getting more than 5% MAX out of yourself in the jump from 180 to 500hz

Regarding LAN Center PCs, players will likely need to lower their expectations of the performance they can expect as the RAM crisis will likely prevent any meaningful upgrades for at least two years. Centers that are on last generation hardware would likely need to spend $50k+ at this point to upgrade their computers in a uniform manner.

@eugenio8a8 It’s very common in all game engines to behave like this. Take q3a for example which is the pinnacle of fps engines. Everyone is fpsmaxing to 125 (iirc) so movement is sort of deterministic since there is no fps deviation. I believe this is still the case in all(?) fps games

CS2 – The Problem of Movement dependency on FPS
In the video below, a macro holds a movement key for exactly 750.000 ms at different FPS values.
The result is clear: lower FPS produces less precise final movement, while higher FPS gives much more accurate positioning.

@iamcs2kitchen You might want to take a look at recent linux builds. I did some personal tests and was able to gain +13% Avg/1% vs a highly optimized Windows 11. Also ingame it feels very good, no downside. Hit me up via DM if you want a short guidance (not much effort, especially as developer)
