🇺🇸 The Big Short investor Michael Burry is warning that the Nasdaq 100's parabolic AI-driven surge resembles the dot-com bubble peak of 2000, calling it "the scene of the bloody car crash, minutes before it happens."
In his Substack, he's predicting a major reversal and painful crash, he says the market is at unsustainable highs that feel "too good and too lucky to be real."

I am so proud of this country. I am so proud of the VAST majority of Albertans solidly choosing Canada.

Are you serious, @IuliiaMendel? Do you have any shame spreading lies about your own country like this?
One thing if this were only about your personal vendetta against Zelenskyy — but you are attacking the entire country, claiming Ukraine should surrender and accept any “peace deal” Russia offers.
You claim the Ukrainian nation is “on the verge of extinction”, has no chance of withstanding the war, and needs to give up — even though the reality on the ground shows the exact opposite.
This interview is anti-Ukrainian and pure Russian propaganda, carefully packaged as criticism of Zelenskyy and presented as the “voice of the opposition.”
What a shameless disgrace.
I worked with Mendel as a journalist during the first meeting between Presidents Zelenskyy and Trump in 2019. At first, I thought she was simply inexperienced, ego-driven, and not very smart. Now, I’m convinced she is acting as a Russian asset.

In civilian hospitals and in frontline medicine alike, the work of our nurses rests not only on professionalism, but also on a big heart, endurance, and humanity. After difficult shifts, sleepless nights, and a constant workload, you still find the strength to support others and be there for them.
I thank the nurses who save our warriors at stabilization points and in hospitals. And I equally thank everyone who works every day in ordinary hospitals, receives patients, helps children, adults, and elderly people, and sustains the lives of Ukrainians in this difficult time.
I congratulate each and every one of you on your professional day. Thank you for every life saved, for the strength and warmth you give to our people.

I am grateful to the EU and every country taking part in our Coalition to bring back Ukrainian children who were abducted by Russia.
It matters that we share a common purpose – to investigate these abductions, to return the children, and to help them rebuild normal lives with their families. This is not something abstract. Every case is the story of a real child – and a real family. By saving these children, we give a chance not only to them – we give a chance to our countries, so that the values that define our lives do not turn to dust. And this raises a fundamental question: how did it become possible for Russians to simply abduct tens of thousands of children, hide them, tear them away from their families, and then teach them to hate the very country they were abducted from?
When a country becomes such an evil force that does not stop even at destroying the lives of children – this cannot be treated as just a regional problem, something happening “somewhere far away.” If a country commits such crimes against children, it means it is capable of any crime. And that is exactly why this challenge requires a global response.
From an address to the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children (1/3).

Russia itself chose to end the partial silence that had lasted for several days. Overnight, more than 200 attack drones were launched against Ukraine. Aerial bombs were used again on the front – more than 80 of them, and over 30 air strikes were recorded. Attack drones were shot down in the Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions, as well as in Kyiv and the region. Energy facilities, apartment buildings, and a kindergarten were damaged, and there was also a strike on an ordinary civilian locomotive on the railway... People have been reported injured as a result of these strikes. And, unfortunately, there are fatalities. My condolences to the family and loved ones.
We have said that we will respond in kind to all Russian steps. Russia must end this war, and it is Russia that must take the step toward a real, lasting ceasefire. Until that happens, sanctions against Moscow are necessary and must remain in place and be strengthened. It is important that there be no easing of pressure and that partners do not stand aside, but continue working together for security, justice, and a reliable peace.

The U.S. remains engaged in the diplomatic process. It is clear that the war in Iran is now drawing the greatest attention from America and the U.S. President, but there is a priority there, as well as the support of the American people: to end this war in Europe too.
It is Russia’s war that is having a global impact on technological change – on the fierce development of the technology of warfare itself. Because of this Russian aggression, killings have become more large-scale, and threats more dangerous – especially everything related to drones.
Many partners understand this – 20 countries are already working with Ukraine at various levels to conclude Drone Deals with us. We have already reached political arrangements with some countries – contracts with manufacturers will follow, and our military expertise is already yielding results. We will soon sign political agreements with some other countries.
We have also begun preparations for the Drone Deal with Canada. This is a very significant expansion of our security cooperation. Both on the American track and in Europe, we are doing our best so that we can produce enough anti-ballistic missiles here in Ukraine or jointly with partners. This is our constant task – additional missiles for air defense.

Tens of thousands of Ukrainian children taken by Russia remain separated from their country and loved ones.
We will not rest until every single one of them is reunited with their families.
With €50 million, we're putting concrete support behind our commitment.
Strengthening protection systems, providing education and ensuring justice for the stolen children.
The return of each child must be part of any peace agreement.
