The secret is to have something you're excited to do when you wake up. It takes a few months of learning, failure, and experimentation to find what that thing is, but once you do, everything is just... better.

Best advice I got in my 20s: Nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. It doesn’t mean nobody loves you, it just means nobody cares about your life as much as you do. You are in control. It’s on you. Nobody cares. Go do the thing.

You should always be rooting for the people you know. Not only because you may need their support tomorrow, but also because it feels good to celebrate something. Celebration can rescue your day—even if it is someone else's victory. Envy will ruin your day—even if you're actually winning.

Despite being an M&A lawyer focused exclusively on M&A since before law school, I'm proud to announce that I have been ranked as top-10 Criminal Law Attorney in Lawndale. I am not sure where Lawndale is, but very proud of this honor. In law school, I wrote a paper on the constitutional challenges to Jay-Z's 99 Problems. Maybe the ranking is related to that.

The most expensive things in life aren't the things you bought. It's the cost of inaction. The business you didn't start. The conversation you avoided. The health you neglected. Not taking action feels safe but it's the most expensive price you'll pay in life.

this quote from Carl Jung hits so hard. "The world is full of people suffering from the effects of their own unlived life. They become bitter, critical, or rigid, not because the world is cruel to them, but because they have betrayed their own inner possibilities. The artist who never makes art becomes cynical about those who do. The lover who never risks loving mocks romance. The thinker who never commits to a philosophy sneers at belief itself. And yet, all of them suffer, because deep down they know: the life they mock is the life they were meant to live."

I can't control the other person's behavior, but I can control my response. Their actions may be rude or unacceptable, but I still want my response to be measured and thoughtful. Even if they aren't doing what is right, I still want to make sure I'm doing what is right.

At this point, I think it’s either gonna be Florida or lehavdil Erets Yisrael for me in the long term. I can’t do snow or cold anymore, and there’s no such place where it’s a constant 70 degrees all year long.

Life rarely changes in a positive way without an increase in responsibility. That can mean taking ownership of your health or committing to a relationship or starting a business. Whatever it is, if you want the trajectory to change, the amount of responsibility usually has to change.

I’m convinced that you can get pretty damn far in life by just doing the old fashioned things well. Stand up straight. Look people in the eye. Do what you say you'll do. Be on time. Have a confident handshake. Be kind. Few live up to this standard. It’ll never go out of style.

The number of pushups won’t matter until you change how you see yourself. If you see yourself as a lazy person, you’ll always quit. If you start to change who you are, and become someone who trains and doesn’t give up, that’s what matters. Identity change requires action. It’s the proof for your mind that you are someone different than it thinks right now. So start small. Prove to yourself that you’re someone who does 10 pushups and 10 squats right when you wake up every day. You can grow from there, but first we have to change who you think you are.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you are enough just by existing. Who you are in this moment is enough to make you special and unique. Know that. Have a good night. 👍👍

There are infinite worlds beyond ours and beyond the worlds of the angels, all full of divine light, beauty and oneness. But know also that all this was brought into being with a single purpose: G‑d desires to be at home within your mundane world.

The easiest way to get ahead is to commit to a period of skill development. 6-12 months. Pure focus for 2-4 hours a day. Learning and building. Not just binge watching tutorials, but creating quality projects that you, others, or businesses could actually benefit from. But don't just let those projects sit around. Tell the world about them. See if people care enough to pay you. Fix what doesn't work until they do. That's it. That's what most people need to completely turn their life around.

Some uncomfortable math: Your bank account is a record of your decisions Your body is a record of your habits Your relationships are a record of your priorities None of this is luck. All of this is compounding.

I read a quote that said "The faster that you do the hard things you want to avoid, the faster you will receive the good things you actually want" and that has changed my whole perspective.

For quality of life, it is better to err on the side of being an optimist and wrong, rather than a pessimist and right

The secret is there is no secret. Consistency over intensity. Progress over perfection. Fundamentals over fads. Over and over again.
