A G4 (Kp8) Geomagnetic Storm is forecast tomorrow (UTC), which will likely be one of the strongest geomagnetic/aurora events of 2025 (so far)! Auroral viewing is possible down to California, Arkansas & South Dakota, with some potential for viewing along the horizon (likely during substorms) down to Southern California and far North Florida. Viewing potential will vary greatly throughout the night, and will not be the same everywhere. Nobody (mainly the more southern latitudes) is guaranteed good viewing tomorrow night, especially if conditions wane early on after sunset; greatly dependent on when the CME impacts tomorrow. If the CME impacts later in the day (18 UTC or later), we will likely see the best chances across America for viewing tomorrow night, compared to if it arrived sooner (like 12 UTC, which is what the SWPC currently projects). Either way, we'll likely be in for a great night of viewing tomorrow night, so charge those batteries! This map is just an estimate, and we're communicating potential, not a guarantee.
