@drakesmith__ If more players layered to the front of green for a middle pin they would score so much better. If the pin is in the back you play to middle. Maybe make less birdies but you make more pars and helps avoid big numbers

Range finders are one of the best things to happen to amateur golf. But there is a habit that creeps in with them. You pull the laser. You get the number to the pin. And you hit it that number. Ball lands on the green and rolls right off the back. The flag yardage is your max yardage not always your landing spot. You still need to understand how much your approach shot is going to roll out and then factor that in. Take your pin yardage and subtract enough to land it short and let the ball feed toward the hole. The range finder tells you where the pin is. You still have to decide where to land it.
