@C_W_Armstrong and Dr. Kathy Huang's potential diagnostic breakthrough is particularly exciting, as the data generated from this test could be instrumental in developing personalised treatments – a key strategy of the Melbourne ME/CFS Collaboration

The stand out piece is the transfer of IgG from patients with pain creating a pain phenotype in mice with followed up indications of SFN. Excellent read!

Sharing our new study by @keylas3, @SilvaJ_C, Rafael Bayarri Olmos et al (with T. Horvath & @PutrinoLab) showing that a passive transfer of IgG from patients with #longCOVID into mice recapitulates ⬆️ pain and other symptoms 🧵 (1/) medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

@VirusesImmunity Excellent piece of work, congratulations! As an aside, I think chart E may have an incorrect annotation. n = 1 and n = 3 should be swapped.

85% of the mice with the pain phenotype received IgG from participants with LC who self-reported new-onset pain since their LC diagnosis! Also, heightened pain behavior in recipient mice was seen with IgG donors reporting pins and needles, burning pain, and weakness. (13/)

@exceedhergrasp1 @MECFSNews Yes, we are very excited. These guys have been doing fantastic work as evidenced by this paper. I'm currently working with them to do the metabolomics portion of this project.

The results suggest that #MECFS metabolism is dysregulated such that alternatives to glycolysis are more heavily utilised than in controls to provide the mitochondria with oxidisable substrates. mdpi.com/1422-0067/22/4…

It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of our friend and colleague, Dr. Jonas Blomberg. He saw the urgent need for research in this field and shared his passion with our ME/CFS community. Read Linda Tannenbaum's note to the community: bit.ly/2DVwbf3

Good to see the @OpenMedF working group having a business dinner. Are you enjoying yourself @C_W_Armstrong? Did you get a chance to talk to fellow youngster @cara_717 from Newcastle doing some very interesting cellular energy work! twitter.com/CFSRC/status/9…

@EndMECFS @PreciselyWell This is a symptom tracking up that also enables participants to register for research worldwide. Allows researchers to organise studies and send surveys through it. Working on finished product, hopefully in a month or so.
