Trump tells @BretBaier he views the $14 billion deal to sell weapons to Taiwan, which Congress approved in January, as "a very good negotiating chip" “I haven't approved it yet. We're going to see what happens,” Trump said. “I'm holding that in abeyance. It depends on China. It is a very good negotiating chip for us, frankly. It's a lot of weapons.”

Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is a very, very powerful, big country. That’s a very small island. Think of it; it’s 59 miles away. We’re 9,500 miles away. That’s a little bit of a difficult problem. If you look at the history, Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

All the haters can kiss my ass

COLLINS: “What about Trump’s promise to lower gas prices?” JORDAN: “That’s life.” @kaitlancollins: “If someone’s paying more for⛽️, saying ‘that’s life’ might not make them feel better.” @Jim_Jordan: “Those are your words, not mine.” COLLINS: “No you said that. Just now.”😬

Trump on 3x Trump voters Alex and Roy saying they are struggling financially: "I hate it…I'm disappointed. Say to them, 'Roy, Alex, we got a problem. We just hit the highest highest stock market price ever.'"

Trump on $14 Billion dollar weapon deal for Taiwan: I’m holding that in abeyance and it depends on China. It’s a very good negotiating chip for us.

Massie: I’m walking to an airplane to rejoin the most expensive congressional race in U.S. history. It’s turned into a referendum on whether Israel gets to buy seats in Congress. And what they found out is that my seat is really expensive. By the time this is over, they will probably have spent $20 million and come up short. I’ve never seen Great Britain, Australia, or even Germany play in our elections here in the United States. But Israel gets so much from the United States. It’s a one-sided relationship. They get us to be their proxies in wars they want against their enemies. They get our military assistance. They get our technology. They get our bombs. They get our tax dollars. And I think it’s a very one-sided relationship. At least with NATO, we pretend that they would come to our aid someday if we needed it—and even that’s a ruse.

Q: Biden described Xi as a dictator. Do you think Xi is a dictator? TRUMP: I think President Biden was an incompetent president. He gave us the Iran nuclear deal. (The Iran nuclear deal was actually made by the Obama administration ... )

@doctorcherokee 2) For some, isolationism leads to antisemitism because Israel is their imagined root cause of why we don't just disengage from the rest of the world. For others, the antisemitism is the starting point which leads to isolationism thanks to Israel being the ultimate boogeyman.

@doctorcherokee 1) The deep-down motives probably vary from person to person, but the isolationist branch of libertarianism has always had an incestuous relationship with anti-Semitism that involves coddling them, ignoring their sins, & treating them like perennial victims.

NYP Reporter: Prior to boarding Air Force One to depart Beijing, the entire U.S. delegation disposed of every item provided to them by their Chinese hosts. Gifts, badges, pins, and commemorative items were all dumped into a trash bin on site. The directive was absolute, no item of Chinese origin was permitted to board the aircraft. The precautions extended beyond the departure itself. Delegation members had left all personal electronic devices at home before traveling to China and operated exclusively on clean burner phones throughout the duration of the trip.
