One river. Three crossings. Three questions to tell any of them apart: What crosses? Bifrost sails Bitcoin itself, pooled (wrapped BTC in a shared multisig). Pogun sends a mirror of one exact coin (a non-fungible 1:1 of your UTxO). Charms sends only what you create (new assets — never BTC). Who do you trust? Enough captains, together (a threshold of signers). One honest guard (1-of-N). Nobody at all (self-verified, client-side). The catch? Committees can plot. Chosen guards can quit (fixed operator sets risk delays, never theft). Paper never carries gold. But the crossing was never the point. The destination was — and the lights are on over on Cardano.

The two chains never speak (no bridge — the proof carries the identity across). No crew, no guards, nobody to trust — just math and your own eyes. The honest limit: the boats only carry what you make — never Bitcoin itself.

2/ Next: @pogun_io, by @IOGroup. The mirror. Your Bitcoin never sails. It locks in its own cell — your exact coin, tag 117 (your specific UTxO, not a shared pool) — and a one-of-one twin crosses to work on Cardano (a non-fungible 1:1 mirror of that exact Bitcoin). Eleven guards can be bought or bored. One honest guard shows the chain proof of the cheat, and the thief loses the money he put up (fraud proofs settled on Bitcoin, with the operator's own collateral slashed). @JaromirTesar Maybe they can't afford EMURGO employees' or Philip Pon's salaries anymore?

In my opinion, EMURGO did not have to leave Pentad because of the unfortunate SecondFi incident. Instead, they could have announced the sunsetting of the Yoroi/SecondFi wallet and retired as DRep. EMURGO + Yoroi together are the strongest DReps with huge voting power. Retiring Yoroi DRep would be a much more responsible approach from an accountability and decentralization perspective than giving up Pentad duties. Pentad is not transparent, so I cannot assess how EMURGO contributed. I expect the remaining Pentad members to comment on this. DReps approved the budget for Pentad, so the community deserves to know what the consequences of EMURGO leaving will be. I see no connection between Pentad duties and the SecondFi incident, so I don't really understand EMURGO's reaction. I am all the more curious about the next announcement. What is your opinion on this?
